✒️Organizations may have various types of solution architects, broadly categorized as generalists or specialists. Generalist solution architects possess a broad understanding across multiple technical domains, while specialist solution architects bring deep expertise in specific areas, such as big data, security, or networking. To address the requirements and complexities of a project, a generalist solution architect often collaborates with a specialist solution architect to ensure alignment and effective outcomes. 💡💡Types of solution architect💡💡

Working as a consulting Enterprise Architect. You have to accept that, in most cases, you'll be evolving something that somebody else started. If you really are an EA, that means that you will be looking at how the things you are changing interact with the existing strategy or strategies. To be responsible, you will need to unpack whatever process is there, and get it to a state where everyone can see what is going to change. You'll want to know that any technology you're changing is understood properly, and if not, make it so. To achieve this you'll show how your change is affecting the capabilities of the organisation, and how that aligns to the desired target state. If you're hiring an EA who doesn't talk like that. Chances are you're hiring some other, more specialised kind of architect, and whatever they are being asked to focus on. It will pull the other things, mentioned above, out of shape.
