We are excited to share our recent experience at Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona. We showcased our innovative approach to addressing medical deserts. Our project, focuses on leveraging cutting-edge technology to analyze and mitigate the challenges faced by underserved areas. 💡 Why It Matters: Medical deserts are a growing concern, and our project aims to bring essential healthcare services to those who need them the most. We integrate KanopyMed Health Data, a trusted health data aggregator, to identify medical desert areas by analyzing the distribution of healthcare systems, (hospitals, general practitioners, and nurses) for given pathologies, and comparing this with patient locations. I can’t believe Mobile World Congress in Barcelona was already one month ago. Time is flying so fast when you have fun 😉   If you were not lucky enough to have tapas in Barcelona earlier this month – do not hesitate to have a look on our article here (https://lnkd.in/e9TBQ-vD), listing highlights and trends!   * Monetise 5G via Private Networks & Industry 4.0 was one of the key stakes of this edition. Bringing here the initial step of the process with the network planning will definitely keep us involved in many projects. * AI and paving the way of the coming 6G was also central on the trends this year. After spending a week at the MWC event in Barcelona, where we delved into 5G tech, explored its potential uses, and saw different types of robots (many dogs) and of course generative AI for everything, we're back to reality. The real deal is that there's today not much true 5G inside buildings! ...and as we will see below, when we make new buildings more energy efficient, that also makes it more challenging for radio signals to enter from outside. We have so far measured 7 top tier buildings in Sweden. Turns out, most of them only get a grade between D and E (A is the best, meaning true 5G support inside). The latest building we looked at is a newly built office in central Stockholm, and it got a really low score of E because: - Two operators have zero coverage in 10-20% of the building - Low available capacity for tenants to share, resulting in poor actual service experience Here are the operator ratings to drive the point home: Telia: E Telenor: F Tele2: F Tre: E This reality makes it evident that we should change how we measure mobile coverage, because according to all coverage maps this building should have fantastic 5G coverage, but it turns out that's only accurate if you're standing on the roof. This use case features is representative of most of the XR high requirements in terms of network connection that are dealt in 6GSandbox: bidirectional real time communication, high bandwidth, strong uplink, low end-to-end delay, multi-modal streams and even edge processing.
