A month to working in GTM in larger enterprise SaaS. Here's a few things that blew my mind:   - Modern workplaces are complex and intricate. With business units relying on 6-12 tools in their tech stacks, processes often feel fragmented. The consensus is that there is a tool to organise almost everything in enterprise , but somehow at the operational and financial reporting levels, information still falls through the cracks. - A staggering 95% of organisations lack a holistic strategic portfolio view of projects across enterprise 🤯 (Source : HBR The Future of Work) Joining up data and ensuring alignment between people, processes and systems seems to be a critical enterprise-level priority. Yet leaders say roll ups are somehow broken and reports don't reflect real time field data. - In today's modern world, Business units take their pick from the plethora of enterprise level Saas products and make purchasing decisions, independent to the IT procurement process. While initially this is great and perhaps fit for a purpose, for many this has resulted in a gap at the enterprise level especially as they scale. How organisations critically assess their needs, streamline their tech stack and make wise value and cost based IT decisions seems to on every executive's agenda. - Every cloud has a silver lining. It also appears to be an opportune time to grow and scale, albeit differently to the last few years. There's an expectation of business leaders to make investments go longer, run a tight ship with no time to waste. Companies and teams are being transformed and whether they like it not, they would have to roll with the punches and build a different muscle to move forward.   I am interested to hear from leaders about how they are making investments , how they are straddling tactical and strategic and designing their modern work management practices. https://lnkd.in/gwzKv8DA Big topic.
