💥Question 1: Why should I take stock solution?💥 As an answer, if I say that to increase the amount of chemicals and to do the work fine then it will not be wrong. Because, if in this recipe Wetting agent - 1g/L M:L ratio - 1:30 Sample weight - 10 g If you want to pre-treat or dye the fabric. The amount of wetting agent will be so small that it cannot be measured manually or digitally. Let's see For 10 gram fabric, Total Liquor= Material wt. × liquor (M:L) = 10×30 = 300 g/mL now For 1 g/L Wetting Agent Without Stock Solution 1000 mL/ 1L water = 1 g/ml Wetting A. 1 mL ...... = 1/1000 300 mL ...... = 1×300/1000 mL = 0.3 mL/g This 0.3 g/mL cannot be measured in any way. Now if we use 6% stock solution, with stock solution According to the formula, 0.3×100/6 = 5 mL This weight can be measured very easily. This is why stock solutions are made. 💥Question 2 : It is possible to take more amount of chemical without taking less then what is the reason of taking stock solution?💥 The answer is that stock solution can be used until the chemical is end up. The solution remains in taking a stock solution, For example, For 1g/L wetting agent, First 99 mL water + 1 mL wetting agent = 100 ml liquor We take 5ml wetting agent from 100ml above liquor. Here, instead of direct chemicals, it can be used for a long time because it is mixed with a lot of water. 💥💥💥 Stock solution is done for the same reason in case of dye.
