Are we really willing to pay higher for sustainable products ? Don't know which segment of consumers are these 1000 respondents and they definitely don't represent the entire Indian consumers. Surveys with limited or non-representative samples create a false perception of ground reality. While it's easy for one to express interest in sustainability, the key question lies in actionable behavior, what they have done. There's often a significant gap between intention and actual consumer choices. Such reports far from ground realities can lead to misguided strategies and a disconnect between reported intentions and real-world actions. What are your thoughts on the importance of representative data in gauging consumer behavior? ♻️ 60% of Gen Z in India Chooses Green. Is Your Brand Ready? Sustainability isn’t a trend; it’s a competitive advantage. With 60% of India’s Gen Z actively choosing eco-friendly options—and paying up to 13.1% more—businesses can’t afford to ignore it. Here’s what the data tells us about winning their loyalty: 1️⃣ Digital Literacy Fuels Choices Gen Z’s purchase decisions are more influenced by digital literacy than environmental awareness. This makes digital-first, engaging campaigns a must-have for green marketing. 2️⃣ Generational Differences Matter For Gen Z, environmental knowledge and peer influence drive buying behaviour. For Gen Y, attitude and perceived control hold sway. Tailor your sustainability narrative accordingly. 3️⃣ The Tangible Impact of Transparency Case in point: Mamaearth’s "Plant Goodness" campaign geotags trees planted with each purchase, making sustainability measurable and personal. This sets a gold standard for authenticity. Here’s how your brand can stay ahead: 🎯 Leverage Social Commerce: Engage Gen Z directly on social platforms for impulsive yet thoughtful green purchases. ♻️ Sustainable Speed: Build supply chains that balance eco-friendly practices with Gen Z’s demand for instant gratification. ✨ Walk the Talk: Share your sustainability journey—wins, challenges, and goals. Transparency builds trust. Green marketing isn’t just about optics. It’s about action. Will your brand lead the charge? 🌍 Drop your thoughts below—let’s discuss! 👇 #Sustainability #GreenMarketing #GenZIndia

A NEW REVOLUTION My latest story for Liquid: Fine Magazines India speaks about sustainability in the world of spirits which burrows deeper than the superficial ‘marketing’ jargon. These brands today have parried well with the ongoing crisis in the name of environmental concerns and are taking a step towards a greener future. https://lnkd.in/dmJgWVnB

#sustainability #sustainabilitylies #educateconsumers #Sustainabledevelopment #rentanattire #Sustainability has always been a core component of Indian culture...but in today's scenario..are we practising sustainable way of life. Post the festivals which i too love, i think we need to #educateconsumers 🧐about the true costs of their purchases which can help them make more informed decisions about " why sustainability". 🙏 Have seen news items which states ...that "Consumers are increasingly aware of the environmental impact 😂of their purchases and are willing to pay more for eco-friendly brands". Just take a stroll in the malls and then lets discuss 😁 Or we just cant change our #culture, where its important that we wear new clothes and also gift others around new clothes...its a custom and been there for ages...in the name of #sustainability can we change it...that's the question to ask🤷. I suggested we rent rather than buy and was told is inauspicious.🥺 The basis of #Sustainabledevelopment is consuming and developing in a way that doesn't deplete resources for future generations, but with these mindset and culture ..can we ever achieve or minimize ...this is the time when all brands are looking to increase sales. Who is bothered about issues like packaging waste...which is thrown everywhere and rots.., 😔 sorry if i sound like spoilsport 🤔. How many of us are aware about #Sustainablepurchasing, which involves making purchasing decisions 🏃that prioritize the environment and economy during our shopping spree. Have lately seen #Brands 🤠which are transparent about their supply chains and communicate their sustainability progress with consumers, which is truly a change. So what's your thought to educate and integrate sustainability in our culture. How do we encourage and reward initiatives, action, and commitments to sustainability and create a welcome change ☺️ BTW...Overall SDG score for the country is 71👍🏻 for 2023-24. Quite an improvement...is this made up. or truly there is a change. Do share your thoughts 💭🧐.
