The goal was to extract valuable insights, and I employed advanced Excel features to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Data Cleaning with Power Query: I kicked off the project by harnessing the power of Power Query, cleaning the dataset to perfection. Unwanted columns were swiftly removed, one column was trimmed for uniformity, and column types were strategically modified for seamless analysis. Pivot Table Magic: Enter the Pivot Table! I harnessed its capabilities to dissect the data and reveal key patterns. By aggregating information, I unearthed total sales figures for 2019, 2020, and 2021, providing a comprehensive snapshot of the company's performance over the years. Powerful DAX Measures with Power Pivot: To supercharge my analysis, I turned to Power Pivot, crafting dynamic DAX measures for lightning-fast and efficient results. The data model was carefully designed, establishing relationships between tables, ensuring accuracy in every calculation. The one-to-many relationship was the key to unlocking precise insights. 📈 Insightful Reports: 1. Total Sales Comparison (2019-2021): Unveiling the growth trajectory by dissecting total sales in 2019, 2020, and 2021. 2. Market Performance vs. Target: A detailed report showcasing how market performance aligns with set targets, providing actionable insights for strategic decisions. 3. P & L Statement by Fiscal Year (2019-2021): A comprehensive dive into profit and loss statements, contrasting 2020 and 2021 for nuanced analysis. 4. This week, I applied these skills to a dataset containing employee demographics, job titles, and geographic information, transforming raw data into meaningful insights. 🌟 𝑲𝒆𝒚 𝑨𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔: 𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒚𝒆𝒆 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑨𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒚𝒔𝒊𝒔: Summarized the number of employees by job title and visualized the global workforce spread across countries. 𝑫𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒉𝒊𝒄 𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔: Created charts to explore gender distribution across states and analyzed the generational distribution of employees by year of birth. 𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝑨𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒚𝒔𝒊𝒔: Visualized hiring trends over time and explored the relationship between employee age and job title for potential career progression insights. 𝑨𝒅𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒅 𝑻𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒔: Used Power Query for data cleaning and transformation, Power Pivot for building robust data models, and created dynamic dashboards with slicers and timelines. 𝑫𝒂𝒔𝒉𝒃𝒐𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏: Built a cohesive “Global Employee Overview” dashboard using a purple and pink color scheme to showcase all visualizations in a single interface. 💡 𝑳𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒅: This assignment deepened my understanding of data modeling, advanced Excel functions, and how to present data insights clearly and effectively.
