Companies like Meta are making the news for firing employees for using their lunch vouchers for non-lunch items, while others get exposed for much more serious scandals. How do you handle employees behaving badly when "More than 40% of employees have experienced or witnessed inappropriate, unethical or illegal behaviors in the past two years, according to research from HR Acuity." And 25% of employees who experience it don't report it. So what do you do? First, figure out what to report. Are some personal photocopies a big deal or OK? Draw the line, then make it easy to report these issues. The biggest struggle here is educating people on reporting - it's important to report issues, as issues can raise the risk of future problems and deteriorate culture. #employees #culture #behavior

Every hire is an investment in the company's future, shaping its trajectory and impact. From identifying top talent to nurturing a diverse and inclusive workplace, HR plays a pivotal role in driving growth and sustainability. Apple's in trouble over its employee policies relating to both social media and workplace messaging, and two hot takes come to mind: 👮 We're around twenty years into social media proliferation, and businesses are still struggling with what they're comfortable with around employee usage. Clear policies and expectations are one thing, but you can still expect team members to push on where the boundaries are. 🗑️ Any organization that expects its internal Slack channels to not be festering sludge pits of complaints, bad jokes and dubious content does not understand how workplaces operate.
