Wonder if we would get any shares if we subscribe for NSE IPO? Retail participation in the market is surging, oversubscription in recent IPOs has become the new normal. Take, for example, Yamaha Motors' recent IPO, which was subscribed over 400 times. The trend isn't isolated—IPOs like Nykaa ( oversubscribed by 81 times) Zomato ( oversubscribed by 38.25 times) Mamaearth ( oversubscribed by 7.6 times) HOAC Foods India ( oversubscribed by 2013.6 times) Key Lee Energy & Infra ( oversubscribed by 1052.5 times) Medicamen Organics ( oversubscribed by 993.6 times) and the list goes on and on. No doubt getting an IPO has become a challenge these days. #IPO #SEBI #NSE #startups

He Made Over 5000 Crore by Just Investing 32 Crore in Nykaa 💰 Billionaire investor Harindarpal Singh Banga, commonly known as Harry, has made over 5000 crore from his early investment in the Indian fashion and beauty platform, Nykaa. He initially invested Rs 30-32 crore (approximately $4 million) in the company in 2014, becoming its largest external investor. Nykaa's successful initial public offering (IPO) in 2021 allowed Banga to cash out around 2000 crore from his investment, including proceeds from selling shares during the IPO. He has also recently sold a 1.43% stake worth Rs 852 crore ($102 million) in a block deal. Despite these partial exits, Banga remains a significant shareholder in Nykaa, holding approximately 5% of the company's shares. His current stake is valued at around Rs 3,200 crore ($380 million). Banga's impressive returns are attributed to his patient investment strategy and Nykaa's efficient use of capital. What do you think? #nykaa #ecommerce #startup #investment

If you think startup valuations are unreasonable, you should maybe look at the public markets. Nykaa stock is down by more than 60% since its IPO. But it’s up by 8% in the past one year. Surprisingly, it has lost 9% of its value since 1st Jan 2024. And it has gained 3% in the past one month. Any guesses what will happen in the next few weeks? It seems like we need a soothsayer. #money #investing

Celebrating Sibling Power: Adwaita Nayar and Anchit Nayar at Nykaa This Raksha Bandhan, we celebrate the powerful bond between siblings and their impact on the business world. Adwaita Nayar and Anchit Nayar , the sibling duo behind Nykaa , exemplify how shared vision and collaboration can drive extraordinary success. Nykaa's journey from a startup to a market leader is a testament to their combined efforts. With $215.4 million raised across 15 funding rounds, the Nayar siblings steered Nykaa to a ground-breaking IPO in October 2021, raising ₹5,352 crores ($710 million) at a valuation of $7.4 billion. The shares listed at an 80% premium, reflecting strong investor confidence. Adwaita Nayar, as CEO of NykaaFashion, expanded the brand’s reach beyond beauty, while Anchit Nayar , leading Nykaa E-commerce, ensured its dominance in beauty and personal care with a data-driven approach. Their story is a powerful reminder that sibling collaboration, underpinned by trust, can lead to remarkable achievements. But what is the Strategic Edge of Sibling-Led Companies? Not just Nykaa but successful companies such as Zerodha , and Lupin highlight the intrinsic advantages sibling co-founders bring. For VCs and investors, a critical metric is the interpersonal dynamics between co-founders. A strong, synergistic relationship at the helm significantly influences operational efficiency and strategic direction. Sibling co-founders, with their shared upbringing and aligned values, often mitigate risks associated with founder conflicts. Their seamless communication and unified long-term vision foster a cohesive corporate culture that cascades from leadership to all levels. This congruence is key to sustainable growth and scalability, making sibling-led Companies highly attractive to investors.
