As leaders, when someone comes to you with a question seeking your answer or validation, we must sometimes explicitly tell them "I trust you and your judgment, make the call". Yes, the situation and context matters, however, sometimes put your teams in a place where they need to think beyond what they have always done, beyond the decisions they are used to making, and getting them in rooms they usually would not be in. This is how we practically grow them, and show them that we trust them. We mustn't be afraid to lead leaders that should be replacing us in future. The exposure ensures that when the day comes, they are ready to take over. More importantly, you show that you welcome their brilliance and their ability to do what is needed. It affirms that you support them and know they can make the necessary call independently! We must be the generarion of leaders that embrace the excellence in others, so they do not dim their light because they are afraid their leaders feel threatened. There is too much brilliance hidden because of various fears, including a lack of safe space to be brilliant. As leaders, we must actively seek out this brilliance because this is where the most amazing, original and innovative solutions come from. #PeopleDevelopmentisNoneNegotiable

Volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) have always been part of leadership. But today, the pace of change makes the skills to navigate VUCA absolutely critical. Reading this Harvard Business Review article about thriving in this environment, a few ideas resonated deeply: 🌈 Repolish Childlike Curiosity: We all had the ability to notice the exceptional when we were younger—to see the cracks in the sidewalk and imagine new possibilities. Leadership in VUCA is about rediscovering this mindset to spot the unexpected and turn it into opportunity. 🔍 Ask Smarter Questions: Moving from “Why” to “What” or “How” opens doors to insights we might otherwise miss. The quality of our questions defines the quality of our solutions. 🔄 Focus on the Planner, Not the Plan: In uncertain environments, no plan will last. Instead, resilience comes from continuously adapting and staying flexible. 💡 Embrace Emotions as Signals: Fear and frustration aren’t weaknesses; they’re built-in alerts. Learning to recognize and reset them is a powerful leadership tool. This reminder to reconnect with curiosity and adaptability feels so timely. VUCA is here to stay—how are you sharpening your skills to face it? Let’s discuss! 🌟 #leadership #vuca #leadershipdevelopment #futureofwork #adaptability #resilience #xpedio #businessstrategy #changemanagement
