One day, I was asked to give a presentation to the entire 100+ person sales team. I confided in my colleague that I was nervous as I had never given a professional presentation before in my life. My colleague helped me craft and design this presentation, and even attended to provide morale support.
That was over 20 years ago, and that colleague is now my business partner, Karina Rubiera.
Even early on in our careers, Karina was always helpful and supportive.
In business, especially in the agency world, having the right business partner is key to success. For me, it’s the most important thing.
Go into business with the right partner, you’re primed for success.
Go into business with the wrong one, disaster will await.

On women starting companies and what may be holding back more women from founding companies, “In one word, PERCEPTION. When perceptions change, behaviors change. Hoping to see this change become a movement.”
And perceptions do need to change. We need more women founding companies as society stands to benefit greatly from the products and services women create.
