The latest report from the AllBright Foundation, 'Alone at the Top', highlights the slow yet continuous progress in the representation of women on German executive boards. Since September 2022, the percentage of women increased by more than 3 percentage points, yet the majority of companies continue to appoint only one woman to their executive boards. This trend reflects a new norm that is insufficient for driving genuine cultural change within corporations. Martina Wiedemeier, Principal Consultant at MU, gives her view in this article, read it here: https://lnkd.in/eqmUPqCk

One day, I was asked to give a presentation to the entire 100+ person sales team. I confided in my colleague that I was nervous as I had never given a professional presentation before in my life. My colleague helped me craft and design this presentation, and even attended to provide morale support. That was over 20 years ago, and that colleague is now my business partner, Karina Rubiera. Even early on in our careers, Karina was always helpful and supportive. In business, especially in the agency world, having the right business partner is key to success. For me, it’s the most important thing. Go into business with the right partner, you’re primed for success. Go into business with the wrong one, disaster will await. We are aligned in our strategy, goals, and vision for Kreativa Group. We understand each other’s strengths and weaknesses. We’re always giving each other honest feedback, perspective, cheer on each other’s wins, and support each other in our failures. It’s a great yin-yang partnership. Recently Authority Magazine interviewed Karina and I’m beyond proud to share it. She has many amazing insights and valuable lessons. Link: https://lnkd.in/eG2-gqxg
On women starting companies and what may be holding back more women from founding companies, “In one word, PERCEPTION. When perceptions change, behaviors change. Hoping to see this change become a movement.” And perceptions do need to change. We need more women founding companies as society stands to benefit greatly from the products and services women create. This is an excerpt from a recent interview that Authority Magazine conducted with our Founder and Managing Partner, Karina Rubiera. Let's celebrate these incredible women leaders who are driving global change and inspiring current and future generations 🎉 ! At the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA79) general debate held from September 24-28 and 30 in New York, 20 women leaders took the stage to address the world. This remarkable gathering showcased the power of women in leadership, highlighting their transformative solutions to today's interlinked challenges. These women leaders are living proof that inclusive governance can result in policies that create positive change over the long term. By integrating the views of diverse women, especially at the highest levels, governments can effectively tailor and target solutions to those most in need. The UNGA Platform of Women Leaders was launched to amplify the assets women leaders bring and to accelerate investment in girls and women. This platform stems from a meeting between women Heads of State and Government and the President of the 76th session of the General Assembly. Research has shown that countries with greater numbers of women political leaders tend to give greater attention to issues like health, education, infrastructure, and ending violence against women. Women's representation in public life also brings heightened credibility to peace processes and negotiations, helping unify divided communities. Let's recognize the impact these women leaders are making and continue to empower and inspire future generations! #WomenInLeadership #UNGA79 #GlobalChange #Inspiration
