Why I skip coffee every morning ☕
I know, it might sound unusual for some of you, but my day starts without coffee. Instead, my morning routine is all about spending time with my daughter, getting her ready and taking her to school. Those moments – sometimes full of laughter, sometimes chaotic – set a positive tone for my day. If you’re a parent, you get it.
Once she's off to school, I make myself a hearty breakfast: a vegetable stir-fry with zucchini, mushrooms, tomatoes, and sometimes a little salmon or bacon. It’s filling, nutritious, and sets me up with the right energy for the day.
Another thing I rely on? My cargo bike. Living in Münster, biking is a way of life, but for me, it’s also a chance to clear my head and get ready for the work ahead.
At the office, my first 30 minutes are spent connecting with my team. I catch up on what’s going on, both professionally and personally. Those conversations help build trust and keep us aligned on our goals.
Finally, a small lunch tip: I avoid carbs. Instead, I stick with yoghurt and nuts (from my infamous brainfood storage👇) to avoid that post-lunch slump. This little trick has kept me energized and focused for years.
