SEBI chairperson has requested the government to make necessary changes to allow fractional ownership of shares. If explained in few words, its Double edged sword. Fractional share ownership could democratize investing by making expensive stocks more accessible to smaller investors. It could also increase liquidity in the market. However, there are concerns about complex voting rights and potential conflicts among fractional shareholders.

Don't appreciate it as an active market participant because the gate-keeping of high notional value keeps the clueless money out.
