Any brand I work with to handle their YouTube channel building, this is what I suggest as must to do things - 1. Ask your performance marketing team to not use this channel to dump unlisted videos for running conversion ads. Create a separate channel and do that. 2. Start measuring returning viewers as a metric as well to have a sense of user retention rate. It’s important to know. 3. Spend good time in keyword research, content research, audience research with the help of available tools. It’s very very important. 4. It’s gonna be ultra hard to build an in-house team for YouTube and Instagram. Don’t chase that rabbit hole. I have attempted did in the past myself, scaled and then failed. Hence, I recommend brands with work with an expert or a partner firm. 5. If you have the patience, guts and capital to deploy for 1yr atleast - then play the YouTube game else don’t. Don’t do spray and pray. There is a certain science to the creative aspect. I’m building Buzz Labs to solve this. #brand #branding

Your insights are invaluable, Sindhu Biswal. Your experience shines through in every point you make. Thank you for sharing such practical and strategic advice for YouTube channel building.
Why would you say point 1- doesn’t inorganic ads videos even if unlisted build your likes per video - would love to know what’s the rationale unless focus is for creator accounts only
I love the line “don’t do spray and pray”. Holds true for almost every aspect of marketing be YouTube, be content, be social or be Performance. :)
Agree with most of the points here Sindhu, but what are the hardships with an in-house team?
Great insights! it's crucial to leverage YouTube Analytics to understand viewer behavior and preferences. This data can guide content creation and optimization strategies.
This is gold Sindhu Biswal! Focusing on the long game with YouTube is something many brands overlook. It's easy to get caught up in quick wins, but sustainable growth comes from patience and strategic planning.
