Looking back at my past few months on LinkedIn 🔥 Here’s what worked for me: 1️⃣ Creating content around HubSpot: Sharing insights on how HubSpot works has been a game-changer. It helped me better understand our users and how we can leverage HubSpot for our own processes, and of course for Hublead. 2️⃣ Content about Hublead: Sharing about our product provided us with valuable user feedback. 3️⃣ Personal experience sharing: Letting people into my journey really connected me with others. It’s been a great way to build meaningful relationships here. When I create LinkedIn content, I focus on these three key topics: HubSpot, Hublead, and personal experiences. No need for fancy processes or the latest AI tools.

We need to challenge how attribution metrics are used overall. Here’s why $50,000 spent on LinkedIn ads for 0 trackable leads is actually a good thing… MICRO METRICS MASK ROI Let’s say you run a LinkedIn ad campaign: → $50,000 spend → 0 trackable leads Seems like a failure. But what if: → Downstream, you win +160% more opportunities → Those who bought saw the LinkedIn ad That’s a tangible ROI with no trackable touch. If you’re only looking at micro metrics, you’re going to miss it. Because micro metrics can lie to you. Chris Walker's Hubspot says that 97% of his revenue comes from organic search and direct traffic. But when he asks customers they say 97% come from Linkedin, podcast, and word-of-mouth referrals. This disconnect requires a rethink of how we’re using metrics overall. START WITH MACRO METRICS INSTEAD Let’s say you run a marketing org: – $4M spent on pipeline (incl ad spend, SDRs, etc) – $40M generated in new pipeline – 20% win rate – $8M generated in new business – 2:1 marketing ROI If you’re getting $2 for every $1 spent on marketing, it doesn’t really matter if you can attribute your LinkedIn ads or not.
