On the World Diabetes Day, the International Diabetes Federation highlights the critical connection between diabetes and overall well-being. While the primary focus often revolves around managing blood sugar levels, recent research uncovers the significant toll diabetes can take on mental health. WORLD DIABETES DAY || Diabetes and wellbeing 540 million people are currently living with diabetes. This number is set to reach 783 million by 2045. Living with diabetes can significantly impact mental health and wellbeing. Statistics shared by World Diabetes Day reveal that: ➡️ 36% of people with diabetes experience diabetes distress ➡️ 63% of people with diabetes say that the fear of developing diabetes-related complications affects their well-being ➡️ 28% of people with diabetes find it hard to remain positive in relation to their condition All people living with diabetes should receive the support they need to manage their mental and physical wellbeing.
