From Dentistry to Regulatory Affairs Switching careers is never easy, especially when stepping into a highly specialized field like regulatory affairs, drug safety, and health compliance. One of the biggest challenges I'm facing is gaining hands-on experience in this specialized area. It’s hard to break into a new industry without practical exposure, but I want to! I’m actively seeking internship or co-op opportunities where I can: 👉 Apply my clinical background to regulatory and compliance challenges. 👉 Learn hands-on about the processes that ensure product safety and efficacy. 👉 Contribute to a company’s mission of delivering safe, high-quality healthcare products. I know it takes time and effort to develop expertise, and I’m ready to put in the work. I'd love to connect if anyone in my network has advice, guidance, or knows of opportunities. My goal is to grow in this field so I can one day give back to the companies and teams that support me along the way. #CareerTransition #RegulatoryAffairs #DrugSafety #HealthcareCompliance #InternshipCoop

I'm interested in learning how someone can pursue a career in MedTech Regulatory Affairs without a degree. I would appreciate insights from individuals who have successfully entered this industry even with a degree. What courses, apprenticeships, or associations should someone consider to enter the field? I have placed plenty of professionals in this industry without a degree but for more experienced hires where experience outweighs formal education. However, is it now realistic to aspire to a career in regulatory affairs in MedTech without a degree, especially for those just beginning their journey in the field? With the rising costs associated with university, many of my friend's kids are looking at alternative options but is it worth the debt? #medtech #medicaldevices #medicaltechnology #regulatoryaffairs

There will be a phase in your academics where you will become confused about choosing your career, whether to move to the Clinical Pharmacy or Clinical Research domain. If you’re feeling uncertain, consider the following basic points. 1- I have seen people choose their career and then after a couple of years find it not interesting and move to a different domain. This happens because you have not done enough research on the job descriptions and career ladder from a long-term perspective. 2-It is okay to be confused and change your mind at the earlier stage of your career. But it is always good to come to a conclusion on the domain in which you want to work before you graduate. 3- Being a Pharm D student, you will get to know your role in the hospital as a Clinical Pharmacist since you have one year of internship which is part of your curriculum. 4- Spend more time in the Pharmacology department and understand the exact scope and where you will have free hands in the hospital as a Pharm D graduate. 5. Check with your department if they can post you in the clinical research department for at least 1-2 months during the internship period. This will help you to understand the structure of the clinical research domain. Reach out to your seniors and LinkedIn connections who work in different domains of the CR industry and learn from them the day-to-day activities 6. This way, you will get a brief idea of your job characteristics in both hospital and industry setups. 7. Very important thing, think about the long-term goal, and understand what your future scope will be in the role you are taking. 8. Last but not least, understand the pay scale and growth of the domain you are choosing so that you will not be disappointed after you join the industry. 9. I would suggest you start working on this once you reach your 5th year of academics so that you are well prepared to kick-start your career in the correct domain. I know sometimes things will not go as per our plan, but make sure that we are prepared from our end. All the best! #pharmd #doctorofpharmacy #pharmacist #clinicalresearch #clinicalpharmacist #freshers
