At a point in my career in which my direct reports having wins is more important than me having wins.

🥕🥕 Be a positive Carrot... 🥕🥕 How can a little trinket make such an impact to a person? By the power of recognition that's how. Being gifted this a while back by one of Paragon Skills very own Ops Directors Janet Owens is still a highlight of my professional career. Having senior colleagues go out of their way to recognise positivity across their direct reports and wider colleagues is such an inspirational way to engage and motivate people to continue to go above and beyond. Especially during periods of significant growth. Since getting my positive carrot it sits nicely on my desk and I often reflect on my day and what has happened that I can feel positive about, or how I have been a positive carrot. Todays thoughts from a positive carrot… 🥕 I am so proud when I think of the development of Adam Blake and how he is successfully delivering results, creating engaging social media content and stepping out of his comfort zone to deliver a company wide job role session! Great example of how a team works as a single unit over a fairly long time frame. while they're celebrating 3rd anniversary in a new avatar, I have seen them working together as far as my memory serves - more than 10 years for sure. So, what's the mantra to stick together as a team for over a decade 1. Complete autonomy and sense of ownership. Decision making including very strategic ones such as partner selection is done with everyone agreeing to the same. 2. Total transparency - everyone knows everything about the company including access to the CEO's email ( not advocating this as a best practice though 🤣), but nothing can be a greater example of transparency 3. Direct and no nonsense communication style including arguments 4. Complete flexibility in working hours. Family priorities come first for everyone and other team members support the person who needs time away automatically. These are few of my impressions as an outside observer who has seen this team through ups and downs.

Today, I close a chapter that has been the most transformative journey of my life. After 7 years with bijnis, I’m stepping down from my operational role. I still remember the early days. Straight out of MBA, I thought I knew what it took to build something. But Bijnis became my real education. It taught me the kind of grit that goes beyond late nights and the resilience you need when everything seems to be going against you. I learned that building a company is more than targets and growth charts; it’s about people. To my co-founders- Chaitanya R Rathi, Siddharth Rastogi & Siddharth Vij - you were more than partners—you became my family. I leaned on you more times than I can count, and each of you taught me something different about leadership, friendship, and perseverance. To the entire Bijnis team - Sachin Chauhan, Shwetank Patni, Saurabh Singh Kardam, Arsh Kumar Verma, Sharad Verma - thank you for making this journey so meaningful. You’ve inspired me, pushed me to grow, and taught me lessons that go far beyond work. I’m deeply grateful to have had each of you as part of my life. As I take a short break to recharge and reflect, I’m excited about what’s next. There’s a new idea brewing, one that draws from everything I’ve learned and feels like the natural next step. I’ll share more when the time is right. If I’ve learned one thing, it’s this: hold tight to those who believe in you.
