I've just returned from a whirlwind trip to London, Lisbon and New York. It involved way too many flights and a 47 hour trip home, but it was so worth it to get some face time with our leadership team across the globe. Living and working in the upside down part of the world can feel a little isolating at times when the majority of your team is on an opposite time zone as you. After spending two days in a room together reflecting on how far we've come at Manifest Group and where we want to be in the next few years, a few key takeaways emerged that are worth sharing. While a number of these feel pretty damn obvious, it's easy to forget in the heat of the daily grind. Collaboration is Key: Engaging face-to-face fosters deeper connections and sparks creativity. It’s amazing how a conversation over coffee can lead to groundbreaking ideas. Not possible in person? A brief huddle or a Google Meet will almost always land better than a quickly fired off slack note or email. 🤝 Leave Room For Failure: Too often we play the blame game when in fact most mistakes are pretty understandable. Psychological safety is at the heart of learning to fail the right way in order to foster progress and innovation. Providing a safe space for your team to feel they can speak out and share their thoughts is paramount to ensuring mistakes can be learned from and not hidden. 🤼 The Power of Vision: Reaffirming our company’s mission and vision was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. Staying aligned keeps us motivated and focused. 🔮 Embrace Change: The dynamic environments of both cities highlighted the importance of adaptability. Embracing change can unlock new opportunities for growth. 📈 Feeling grateful for these experiences and excited to bring this renewed energy back to our studio here in Melbourne. Bring on 2025 💪

"Wow, this team is great. Everyone seems to be on the same page all the time!" I've heard it many times, but is it really all that great to have everyone thinking the same way? No, I don't think so. It's great to have a cohesive group, but, in my opinion, diversity of thought is crucial for growth and innovation! Celebrate milestones and successes that bring the team closer to achieving it. Don’t forget to set a THEME and gamify it!      Encourage Feedback and Engagement: Foster an open environment where team members can share their thoughts, ask questions, and provide feedback on the vision.
