This week I will visit Cairo to explore the Egypt entrepreneurial ecosystem, with the support of Outreach Egypt (Consultancy for Development) and colleagues AUC School of Business and AUC Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Egypt is one of the Big 4 entrepreneurship nations in Africa, based on the amount of Venture Capital invested. Next to its strengths in business regulations and infrastructure, there are also challenges with for example access to finance, and entrepreneurship support (especially outside Cairo), next to a country wide macro-economic crisis.
