I recently came across a post from Sara BaChar سارة بشّار, which truly encapsulated the UAE's unwavering dedication to inclusivity and empowerment. The post highlighted His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed's presentation of the prestigious Abu Dhabi Award to individuals with disabilities and the elderly, showcasing the UAE's profound commitment to recognizing their remarkable contributions. In the UAE, individuals with disabilities are referred to as "People of Determination." It’s remarkable to reflect on how much this nation has achieved in such a short time. In just over five decades, the UAE has built a country that is safer, wealthier, and more innovative, all while fostering a culture that thrives on ambition and excellence. A nation I’m proud to call my home. What sets the UAE apart is its vision. The belief that “every interaction with the government should feel like a 5-star hotel” isn’t just about service—it’s a mindset. It’s about raising the bar, challenging limits, and redefining what’s possible. As His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum so powerfully says, “In the race to excellence, there is no finish line.” The UAE has become a global hub for innovation and talent, and a symbol of what can be achieved with vision, determination and a growth mindset. Successful meeting held with Nepal Embassy Ambassador UAE & DNIG-Dubai Nepalese Influential Group led by AMULYA KHANAL Vice-President of one of the largest banks in the world, Pooja ji- GCC HR head of fastest growing recruitment firm Life Line HR Services UAE & Chapendra Baral Cluster Security Manager of Accor Hotels in UAE (Core members of DNIG) Delighted to announce DNIG members received warm welcome not only by Ambassador but even other members of embassy to join us. This reflects how DNIG-Dubai Nepalese Influential Group is being positively perceived in our community. 2. We had more than 1.5 hour meeting, they reiterate how DNIG is different then other organization they have meet in UAE. 3. We discussed, what support Nepal Embassy are looking for and we as DNIG can contribute. 4. Point discussed were largely around organising social awareness campion such as - Importance of saving while working in UAE, Banking scam awareness, Mental Health, Emoyee Right while working in UAE etc. Separately there was discussion regarding how we can support Embassy in streamling passport renewal and collection. 5. One of the key agenda for us was to be part of a social support for body repatriation. It was heart wrenching that while we were there they received 4 other people in visit visa who unfortunately passed away and they now need to arrange for their body repatriation. Therefore, for a long term solution, we also discussed what we can do in UAE and in Nepal to create awareness to reduce such unfortunate events. 6. They proposed us to submit our proposal to be registered with Nepal Embassy. This will help us to get benefit from local authorities when we organise any event. 7. They are happy to participate if we organise any events. Success Story Continued with the Work Bundle Platform and Invest in Dubai Platform. I am very proud to have been the product manager of the Work Bundle initiative, taking it from ideation to launch. It’s great to hear positive feedback from a big company like AlGhurair Group about the services offered by the Work Bundle. This project was designed to streamline employee and business management in the UAE's private sector. The integrated platform offers three key services: hiring new employees, pre-renewal of work permits, and the cancellation of permits and residence—simplifying processes for business owners and private companies. UAE was 21 years when I first stepped foot here. It was ambitious, full of dreams, and ready to take on the world. Today, as this remarkable country celebrates its 53rd year, it has grown into a wiser, stronger, and more inspiring personality. I learnt so much as I was also a young 26 year full of dreams and aspirations. UAE played a big role in building these 5 core values in me. 1. Dream Big, Execute Bigger At 21, UAE was already dreaming of skyscrapers piercing the clouds. Today, at 53, it has delivered icons like the Burj Khalifa, showing that bold visions, paired with relentless execution, can redefine possibilities. I really could handle complex projects due to this exact value 2. Adapt and Thrive From oil to innovation, UAE has continuously reinvented itself. Like a true visionary, it teaches us that adaptability is the key to staying relevant in an ever-changing world. As I kept moving from pharma to office fitouts to now commercial projects, I realise that adating is the only key driver. 3. Unity is Strength Just as the seven Emirates united for a shared future, UAE shows that collaboration, teamwork, and harmony lead to lasting success. I have always looked at my friends in BNI, colleagues in the organizations I have worked to deliver a common goal. 4. Invest in People I guess as a 58 year old guy, one thing I have understood is that people is everything, At its core, UAE's success also lies in its people—its leaders, citizens, and expatriates. It reminds us that empowering individuals creates a foundation for sustained growth. 5. Stay Grounded While Reaching for the Stars Despite its towering ambitions, UAE retains its rich culture and heritage. It shows that staying true to your roots is as important as embracing the future. As I reflect on my own 32-year journey in the UAE, I realize how much I’ve grown alongside this extraordinary country. Here’s to more lessons, opportunities, and milestones ahead.
