Day 67 of 100 Days of Marketing Madness 💡 McDonald's once turned a bus station into something that resembled a McDonald's food ordering counter! This bus stop modification was done to encourage customers to eat McDonald's burgers. And, while this appears to be a simple campaign at first glance, McDonald's made a very cunning move! Why? You know, the moment someone sees a McDonald's food ordering counter, they immediately crave a burger. It is a typical example of psychological training in which a sight or fragrance entices you to eat a specific food. In this situation, the bus-stop change would have tempted not just those sitting there, but also passers-by! It's quite effective as a method for increasing restaurant sales. #business #marketing #startup #entrepreneurship #marketingstrategy #advertising

They wanted to serve something different, something with more flavor, and that’s how the iconic Whopper was born. But here’s the twist: Burger King didn’t just follow in the footsteps of other fast-food chains—they took risks, focused on innovation, and made their mark by challenging the competition. From their cheeky marketing campaigns to their bold product ideas, BK wasn’t just about selling burgers; they were about creating an experience. As entrepreneurs, what can we take from this? It’s a reminder that standing out in a crowded market means doing things differently—and sometimes that’s exactly what it takes to go from small grill to global success. Watch the full story of how Burger King went from a small Miami operation to the flame-grilled giant we know today. 🍟🚀 #Entrepreneurship #FastFoodSuccess #Innovation #BurgerKing #BusinessStrategy #InnovationsMastery #InspirationForEntrepreneurs

When you first dive into entrepreneurship, it’s easy to feel lost and overwhelmed. That’s exactly how I felt transitioning from being a doctor to founding Spice Basket. Amidst the chaos, certain books can serve as guiding lights, and Jim Collins' "Good to Great" has been one such beacon for me. Here are the key lessons I’ve learned, applied directly to my journey with Spice Basket: 1. Level 5 Leadership: Leading with humility and determination has helped me stay grounded and focused on our vision of bringing a food revolution. 2. First Who, Then What: Building a passionate team that believes in my mission and not only understands the importance of pure, natural food but also prioritizes quality has been our foundation. 3. Confront the Brutal Facts: Being honest about our challenges, like market competition in the FMCG industry with corporate giants catering to the majority of the market has driven us to innovate and improve our products. 4. Hedgehog Concept: Focusing on what we do best—providing washed, naturally dried, authentic, chemical & additives free food products—has given us a clear direction. 5. Culture of Discipline: Maintaining high standards in sourcing the best quality products and our production method of washing and naturally drying spices and other food products has ensured the unbeatable quality and consistency of our products. 6. Technology Accelerators: Embracing e-commerce, digital marketing and online community building has expanded our reach and connected us with spice enthusiasts and health conscious people across the country. Embracing these principles has transformed Spice Basket from a mere idea into a growing enterprise. "Good to Great" has not just been a book; it’s been a blueprint for success. Here’s to striving for greatness, no matter where you start or where you end up! #GoodToGreat #Entrepreneurship #LifeLessons #FromDoctorToFounder #SpiceBasket

This weekend, we’re highlighting "The Founder" (2016) – the true story of how Ray Kroc wrestled ownership of McDonald's from the Richard & Maurice McDonald to then go on and create one of the world’s greatest fast food empires. 🍔💼 Fascinating viewing as a political tug of war ensues for power of what was, at the time, a new and revolutionary fast food concept in the restaurant trade. #WeekendFilmRecommendations #TheFounder #Entrepreneurship #BusinessInspiration #Wellers #BusinessOxygen #SmallBusinessAccountants #StartupAccountants #ScaleupAccountants

Did you know the iconic name "McDonald's" started with a simple family surname? 🍔 It all began in 1940 when brothers Dick and Mac McDonald opened their first restaurant, McDonald's Bar-B-Q, in San Bernardino, California. Their vision for speed and efficiency led to the revolutionary Speedee Service System in 1948—transforming the fast-food industry as we know it. But here’s where it gets really interesting: in 1954, Ray Kroc, a milkshake machine salesman, saw the potential for something bigger. After discovering the McDonald brothers' innovative system, he convinced them to franchise the idea. The rest, as they say, is history. Kroc believed the name “McDonald's” had a unique, personal touch that could resonate globally. His foresight and strategic vision turned that name into a household brand. The McDonald's story shows that with a bold idea, a bit of luck, and the right vision, a name can become more than just a name—it can become a legacy. #Branding #BusinessStrategy #McDonalds #Entrepreneurship #Innovation #Marketing

Blue Apron and Matthew Wadiak were early pioneers in the category of meal prep and the e-commerce ingredient market. 🚚 🥔 🥕 📦 I actually credit Blue Apron as the service that taught me how to cook for me and my family, while reducing the number of Hot Pockets 🌯 I ate throughout my 20s. 🎓 😅 But in addition to shedding my carb intake and waistline, his advice to entrepreneurs before starting their company is probably my favorite. 💜 "The old adage of being an entrepreneur is like jumping out of an airplane and assembling a hang glider on the way down is silly. LIke Blue Apron's recipes, you do everything you can first, chopping, prepping, get everything ready, and then cook. Entrepreneurs should think about their work similarly, get your stuff together, and then go launch your product and be ready to anticipate the market." 🚀 🔪 Before founding Blue Apron, Matt was actually a trained world-class chef, always focused on the right ingredients. 👨🍳 🍽 Matt's new company, Everybody CleanUp is very much focused on using the right ingredients, as he and his team focus on removing customers from the cycle of single-use plastics. 🌲 🌎 🎙 🎙 Check out the entire interview with Matthew here: https://bit.ly/cleanup-br #climatetech #cleanup #founderstories #entrepreneurship
