Prioritize viciously, listen to your customers & don't work in silos. Those are 3 of the key pieces of advice that leading marketers shared in a panel discussion at this week's TechTarget conference on B2B marketing in Tel Aviv. 💡𝗗𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 "For me, it's about being focused. Doing less but better quality is the key," says Checkmarx CMO Amit Daniel. "That's the only way to really progress," she says. "But it requires guts, because you are constantly being required to do more, and it will never stop. Learn to say no." 💡𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗲 🎶 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 "I'm amazed at how many marketers are very, very far from the customer," says Alon Maimoni, CRO at N2WS. If your company records sales calls, one easy way to fix that problem is to dig into those recordings. "Listen to those calls, what they say, what they're struggling with," he says. "Listen to the pain they have." 💡𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 🌾 As important as it is to gain customer trust, it's also crucial to gain trust internally, says fractional CMO Sharon Zalcberg – in part by taking part in your company's quarterly business reviews to "show what you do." Indeed, it's better to share information, both within marketing and between teams, than to mistakenly assume that other folks in the org are already aware of it, says Daniel Bleichman, director of global marketing at Cato Networks. In short: "Don't work in silos." Kudos to all the panelists, to Reuben Braham for organizing the event and to Jordan Snapper for the picture of the panel! #marketing #B2B

2moI would like to add one more point here. Focus on ROI. Marketing teams often get distracted by the latest trends, but it’s crucial to ask: Is it delivering results? Are we moving the needle? Is our revenue increasing?
