Listen Up... Some might say we were fortunate enough to get tickets for #oasis today and I feel incredibly lucky and excited, but Ticketmaster was an absolute shambles and a headshrinker from start to finish. I honestly don't understand how a company can operate at such a sub-standard and remain operational. Glastonbury is another mass gathering where these sites seem to buckle and grind to a halt, seemingly 'going nowhere' whilst you wonder where you are in the process, or in fact if you are part of the process at all - Still you try to stay calm and roll with it. I know a little bit about load balancing, and online traffic dispersion, but if these systems are not adequate for such volume, there is an idea and opportunity out there for an entrepreneur to capitalise and make our lives a damn site easier when shopping for tickets (or anything that might cause enough interest for a site to crash and not do it's job) - D'you know what I mean? I'll take this opportunity to slide away, to not look back in anger, and to say whatever, but will look forward to next year when I'll no doubt be underneath the sky, feeling supersonic! To celebrate the #Oscars2024 tomorrow, here's me working on a #Oscars2024Predicition model, based on the relationship between past #Oscars winners and the other two major awards - #ScreenActorsGuild (SCREEN ACTORS GUILD, INC.) and #GoldenGlobes. The aim here is to find the similarity between datasets using #CosineSimilarity and #JaccardSimilarity! The other strategies I thought of is accumulating this year's nominees' critic reviews from Rotten Tomatoes and analyze them to predict the winner, or scrapping this years SAG and Golden Globes winners and their genres to predict the winner (which is too simple 😅) I planned to finish this today as the #AcademyAwards are just 5 hours away, but I failed because the #Preprocessing is a bit too much!!
