Maybe I should go back to playing with LeetCode! During my QA automation journey, I've noticed a recurring pattern: Many developers are self-taught, and it's rare for companies to assign a software architect to work on testing. The few real programmers you find are like hidden gems, and often they move on to software development rather than testing. This creates some common challenges: Test steps are often unclear. Framework maintenance becomes complicated. A 30-second manual test can take several minutes due to pre-test and post-test setups. The code is not robust, lacking proper methodologies. Some time ago, I decided to take personal training to make my tests more readable and robust. I’ve been diving into Clean Code, studying SOLID principles, and thinking about how to adapt them to the world of test frameworks. I ask myself questions like: Does using the Singleton pattern for an SSH connection still work after a system reboot? How can I run tests in parallel across multiple setups? These questions and many others help me improve my coding approach. 💻 While I’m currently interviewing and seeking new opportunities, I try to highlight this continuous learning. I’ve opened a GitHub profile and am uploading various projects. Every day I implement something new. However, when it comes to technical interviews, I’m often asked: "Can you show me how to reverse a string?" "Can you calculate the depth of a tree?" 🌳 I did these exercises 20-25 years ago, and in today's world, where AI can assist with such tasks, I'm not sure I understand the point of these questions.
