It’s not always about you!! I know you’re excited about your product / service and all its wonderful features, why this one is the one! But here’s the thing it’s not about you … it’s about them 🤷♀️ Your next client or customer doesn’t care about what you’re excited about! She’s not laying awake at night thinking about your product or service, She’s laying awake at night thinking about her problems, her struggles and how the hell she overcomes them 🤔 I’m not saying no one cares about you or what you have to say It IS about how you show the value you can bring by sharing in a different way Share the solution you offer, the difference you and your product will make to her … not the practical details … show her you can solve her struggles. Show you have the answer to the question that is keeping her awake Because it’s not about you …

Sometimes, it’s the little things that make all the difference. For some of our recent orders, we included handwritten “Thank you” notes on compliment slips, just a small way to show how much we appreciate our customers. One of those slips was shared with us, and it was a wonderful reminder that grand gestures are not always necessary. Small, thoughtful acts can create meaningful connections and show your customers just how much they matter. These moments of connection and care feed into something bigger. I often think about the flywheel effect: how small, consistent actions build momentum over time. When you take care of your existing customers, they notice, share, return, and help spread your story. This creates a ripple effect that drives sustainable, authentic growth. It’s not always about chasing the next big thing; it’s about creating a foundation of trust and appreciation that fuels itself. A handwritten note, a kind word, or simply showing up when it matters most can be the spark that keeps the flywheel turning. To everyone who has placed an order, shared their experience, or supported Voxblock in any way, thank you. Your trust and belief in what we’re building are the reasons we can keep climbing higher. A huge shoutout to Rebecca Lundgren, our brilliant leader, for not only tolerating my relentless habit of block-booking her calendar for these ideas but also for stepping up to sign those handwritten compliment slips. Always prioritising our customers makes Voxblock what it is today. Voxblock

Once upon a time... You identified a gap in your product range or a customer need that was going unmet. You went on a quest to look at product options, and suddenly you feel like a 2 year old in Toys R Us (RIP). You don't quite know exactly what you need or want. You're overwhelmed by possibilities. Moving from one option to another then another. You're told you need to hurry up, and make a decision. You panic you're going to make the wrong choice. So, you head home. Empty handed, and with a stress headache. You know what this story needs? A product fairy Godmother (us). We make it really easy to work out what your product or range should look like. But, it doesn't end there. We can responsibly make it, pack it, and deliver it to you. Save yourself time and stress. Get in touch. Then you can live happily ever after. THE END

'I'm no good at speaking off the cuff' If this sounds like you, let's talk! I regularly work with people who report having toe-curling moments when put on the spot 😬 It's often questions we think we should be able to answer easily. 'Tell us a little about yourself' 'So tell me about your product' Why then do we stumble and waffle over subjects we know so well? The solution is: 👇 Prepare what you want to say, as simply and clearly as possible, then practice it aloud until it’s automatic. Congrats! You now have a go-to answer you like and are confident sharing, that you can rely on in a pressure situation. The truth is, no-one really likes being put on the spot. It's just some are more prepared for it than others 🧘♂️ Only got 5 minutes? Don't worry! Next week we'll talk about what to do when you only have a very short time to prepare If you'd like to book in for a session, get in touch at speakfulness@gmail.com

Here’s a simple test: When you strip away the extras, what’s left? If your message is strong, it will still resonate. If it’s weak, it will now crumble. That’s precisely why some believe that a little glitter will make up for a weak message. But adding glitter won’t make your message strong, it only distracts from the weaknesses. Superficial wow elements will never make up for a missing aha. On the other hand, once your message is strong enough to stand on its own, *then* adding the wow can amplify its impact manifold. In other words, when you have a strong message – skillfully composed – the wowing extras aren’t there to distract from the message, they are there to *serve* the message. PS: Reach out if you need help finding that strong message.
