Big love to my bro Joel Harvey for the stunning video!
It's only by making space for yourself to learn and change your mind about things that you make space for people like me, for people like us. Tonight it's been amazing. I feel like every time I come here, the crowd is a little bigger, a little more emphatic, a little more joyous. People are able to be there full, authentic selves. My culture is very, very much alive, relevant, and it's only going to continue growing. Actually, the story that you believe that should be told, don't wait for it, but you create the opportunity for them to be told. Power people like us who are community so always get safe space to do but here's what you the matter what.
If I think of a future where love becomes an intrinsic part of our systems and society, I envision a world of more conscious brands and sustainable ways to produce and consume. When love guides how we live, create, and interact, the 'why' of our actions will naturally align with the well-being of all living beings on our planet....

*Do not pluck the yellow leaves on the branch,*
*One day they will fall by themselves.*
*Sit with the elders of the house, talk,*
*One day they will automatically become silent.*
*set them free,*
*let it spend,*
*Let live as you please,*
*One day they will leave everything for you.*
*Don't hit them again and again, they repeat the same things,*
*One day you will yearn to hear their voice, when they become silent.*
*Take their prayers as much as you can,*
*bowing down, touching feet,*
*One day they will automatically become images,*
*Then there will be no point in apologizing.*
*Don't say anything to them in front of others, let them eat, at will,*
Then behold, they will not even come to eat,*
No matter how many times you celebrate their anniversary.*

Did you know that September is National Courtesy Month? That's a whole month dedicated to reminding us all to be kind and courteous and, dare I say... demure!
This week's Loop News is full of thoughts and ideas about how to celebrate. For that plus your weekly list of local Happenings, follow the link in the comments below.
𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞
𝐓𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞
𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞
I don’t remember when I heard Ozzy singing those words for the first time but they feel timely now, perhaps more than they did back in 1980, when 𝐵𝑙𝑖𝑧𝑧𝑎𝑟𝑑 𝑜𝑓 𝑂𝑧 was released.
If the news of the day is anything to go by, one would be forgiven for thinking that it might indeed be too late. We seem to be so profoundly divided, disagreeing about so many fundamental things — from politics and religion to climate change and migration — that quite frankly, some days finding common ground feels impossible.
But here's what keeps us going at RADAR: we refuse to believe the future is fixed or inevitable. Instead, we see it as something each of us can imagine and influence, something we can write into existence, even when the odds are overwhelmingly stacked against us.
In fact, for the past three months, the RADAR community has been dedicated to a special project called "𝐴 𝐹𝑢𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝐼𝑛 𝐿𝑜𝑣𝑒," a collective exploration of how our societies could fundamentally shift if love wasn’t just the end point of some mythical quest, but the guiding principle of our systems and structures — a radical force with the potential to change how we live, care for each other, and shape our world.
And next week, we're gathering for 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁 — a day of reimagining what’s possible when we put love at the centre of everything. This online event will be an opportunity to immerse yourself in the ideas, stories and practices that can make this vision a reality.
We have curated a truly wonderful program of thought-provoking talks, hands-on workshops and panel discussions, so whether you're looking for inspiration, practical tools, or a chance to dream big about the world we want to build, I believe 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁 will have something for you.
If you’d like to join us next Thursday, Nov 14th — and I truly hope you'll join us — you can find all the details and get your ticket by following the link in the comments.
As Barbara Kingsolver kindly reminds us: “𝘞𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘴𝘢𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘶𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘵.”
Let's come together and try to do just that.
We’ve been dying to share this.
(....drumroll please 🥁🥁🥁)
The official LoveFest Programme (captured in UTC, because....well, time is hard).
Yes, we have a lot planned, and we cannot wait. The day is going to be filled with talks and workshops exploring how love branches out into the various facets of our structures and systems, deep diving into the research and ideas that the RADAR community has been nurturing these past 3 months. This day is designed to inspire — to expose you to different voices and visions, spark discussions, kindle new connections, and turn collective reflection into the active energy needed to build love into our futures.
Throughout LoveFest we’ll go from big ideas and dreams to human-and-community scale actions, alternating between curated panels with a selection of stimulating and varied experts and workshops in which you’ll take part in co-creating a future in love, with of course some breaks where you can choose to touch grass or take part in exciting side-quests. We promise that no matter who you are or where in the world you're joining us from, this will be an engaging, thought-provoking, and energizing day.
Check out the Love Fest website to see the programme (where, thanks to technology, the times *should* automatically shift to reflect your local timezone): https://lnkd.in/eBBjhzY8.
Don’t think you’ll be able to attend all of it? Worry not, everything will be recorded and accessible online after, for you to watch and rewatch at will.
And most importantly, stay tuned as we’re going to start announcing our speakers and panelists in the days to come!!
The best way to spread holiday cheer? Singing loud for all to hear!
I love watching Elf, but delivering holiday gifts takes more than just reindeer power and i am a high functioning procrastonator when it comes to gifts.
