RIP to the opportunities we missed because of shyness & low self-esteem. (Stop letting fear control you.) When faced with a new challenge or a big opportunity, what’s the first thing that happens? Imposter syndrome. You think you don’t deserve it, and your mind has doubt: ↳ “I’m not good enough.” ↳ “There’s someone else better than me.” ↳ “What if I fail?” But here’s the thing: growth doesn't happen in your comfort zone. It happens when you step out of it. The only thing standing between you and your next opportunity is your mindset. Here are 4 ways to push past that self-doubt: 1️⃣ Recognize your worth ↳ You bring unique skills and perspectives that no one else can. Tip: Make a list of your top 3 strengths and how they’ve contributed to your success. Review it regularly. 2️⃣ Step into discomfort ↳ Growth requires discomfort. Take action, even when it feels uncertain. Tip: Commit to doing one thing this week that pushes you out of your comfort zone (even if it’s small, like speaking up in a meeting). 3️⃣ Reflect on your wins ↳ Remember those times you doubted yourself—and still succeeded. Tip: keep a "badass list" of all your accomplishments on your phone. Look at it often. Over time, you'll start remembering that list without needing a reminder. 4️⃣ Challenge your self-talk ↳ Don’t let the voice that says "you can’t" keep you from trying. Tip: When a negative thought pops up, ask yourself: "What’s the evidence that this thought is true?" Replace it with a more positive thought. If you’re waiting until you feel ready, you’ll never take the action. Push past the doubt, take action, and grow. What is your favorite tip for stepping out of your comfort zone? My favorite tip for stepping out of your comfort zone? Breathwork + with visualization. I visualize the idea and let all the fear and contraction flood my nervous system and then I breathe my *ss off, into the fear. Sometimes it's one session, sometimes it's 10 years!!! LOL

Such a relatable post, Sheena! It’s incredible how much potential we unlock by challenging self-doubt. Love the idea of keeping a ‘badass list’ on hand—those small reminders of our achievements can make all the difference. Thank you for the inspiration to step out of the comfort zone!
Ouch! I've had regrets like this and remind myself of them when I hesitate to pursue new challenges.
Sheena Hakimian The journey begins when we challenge our inner critic. Here’s to stepping out and embracing our worth!
