I can say a lot about this stone. I can compare it to how a team should be: colleagues with different skills should collaborate to create something beautiful. Interconnections and knowledge sharing is essential to build something unique and smooth. Or, I can compare it to how a technical person is: commonly called t-shape, we have knowledge with deeper details, and others with less. I prefer this image because what we know in some specific areas can be used to study, view, understand and acquire other information. Hello everyone! I want to share a coliving story with you and why I love this concept so much. Here’s a story: Three years ago, when I decided to start my digital nomad journey and leave the city where I had lived for eight years, someone told me, “Oh, Andreea, but you are already an adult. It will be hard for you to find a group of people because most friends and connections are made in high school or college. If you want to start your life from zero, you’re kind of doomed, because by this age—26, 27—everyone has already figured their life out.” They couldn’t have been more wrong. In these three years, I’ve met so many people and made so many connections that I never thought possible. The diversity of people from all around the world, from different countries, cultural backgrounds, and professional fields, is incredible. I was never able to witness such diversity before. This is why coliving is so great for your mental health and overall well-being. But one downside is that you meet people, make deep connections, and then they leave. I remember crying when someone who stayed for a month left. Now, I am more resilient. Yes, I still miss them, and I know our paths will cross again one day. And what makes it easier is that new people and experiences are just around the corner. Maintaining all these great connections can be challenging, but the positives far outweigh the negatives. It’s not true that you have a limited age by which you can make connections and friends. You can always make new friends. The downside is balancing all the goodbyes and hellos. So yes, saying goodbye is still bittersweet, but it makes room for new faces, stories, and adventures. And for that, I’m grateful. What about you? Who else has been on a corporate "Iditarod" over the last few weeks? 🐾✈️ Over the past few weeks, I’ve navigated the hustle and bustle of Chicago, the bright lights of Las Vegas, the sprawling creativity of Los Angeles, the scenic luxury of Calabasas, the southern charm of Atlanta, and the next stop is the nonstop energy of New York City. Each city offers its unique challenges, opportunities, and experiences—just like the grueling Iditarod race across Alaska. In the Iditarod, mushers and their sled dogs brave extreme conditions, navigating rugged terrain with strategy, endurance, and teamwork. Similarly, my travels have been adaptable, focused, and resilient, with each stop presenting a unique landscape of meetings, deals, and partnerships to conquer. Much like sled dogs rely on their pack, my success during these trips wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible people I’ve worked with along the way—partners, clients, and teammates who pull together toward a shared goal. Here are a few lessons I’ve taken from this "corporate Iditarod": Preparation is vital: Like packing for extreme weather, I’ve learned to prepare for anything—tight schedules, unexpected challenges, or shifting goals. Rest and recovery matter: Just as mushers care for their dogs, prioritizing well-being on the road is crucial for long-term success. Stay the course: Whether it’s a snowy trail or a crowded airport, perseverance always pays off. To everyone I’ve met along this journey—thank you for making the race worthwhile.
