Ah the after party, or making it look like one. Shooting drinks and glassware aka organized chaos - where you spend more time finding the balance, positioning labels, and wrangling reflections than you do actually taking photos. Every bottle, glass, and garnish…and let’s not even talk about those rogue highlights🙄 #productphotography #drinkphotography

This is the final photo for this particular shot, to show the texture of the actual product itself! ...and the beautiful deep blue packaging in a sun drenched in an abstracted poolside setting. The previous "Jungle" photo focuses solely on the product's moisturizing aspect; this one suggests how it might be used. It's the vision I had for it. #jamestcallahanphotographer #njphotographer #LuxuryMarketing #luxurybrands #cosmetics #SmallBusiness #SmallBiz #cosmetics #MarketingStrategy #productphotography #productvideo #freshcosmetics #freshdreamfacecream

7 KEYS TO A GREAT CORPORATE HEADSHOT #2️⃣ FLATTERING POSING 💁♀️ The way the body and face are positioned in a headshot significantly impacts the message that your headshot conveys. One of the biggest reasons someone will hate photos of themselves is because they don’t have anyone telling them how to stand in a way that looks good to the camera. 🙌 Things like sitting up straight, having hands that are relaxed, and an expression that is friendly aren’t natural for most people. Headshot sessions tend to be stressful and nerve-racking situations, which means having a photographer who can guide you every step of the way becomes one of the most important things to look for when selecting who you want to work with for the photo. 🙂 When someone looks relaxed in their headshot, it’s usually not an accident, but an incredibly intentional process that includes years of posing knowledge that can be translated into an image that looks effortless.

Glassware on Dark Background: This was a Marsovin shot I captured for the company a few years ago. When photographing bottles (glassware), several factors need to be considered and lighting adjusted accordingly, such as the label and the position of highlights on the bottle. Do you prefer diffused highlights that fade along the edges, or bold highlights? It's crucial for the reflections to be straight and parallel to the bottle for a clean, professional appearance. #Marsovin #GlasswarePhotography #ProductPhotography #BottleShot #LightingTechniques #ProfessionalPhotography #PhotographyTips

Product photographers are often the knights in shining armour who make your great product look even greater. That’s why good ones cost money. (Btw please don’t ask us to help you make your poor product look good, cos that’s just shoddy, unethical practice). But…honestly, I’m not sure I could make *these* look good… Whose idea was it to make gravy granules that look like cremated human remains? They’ve certainly succeeded in putting the “grey” in gravy… Alt: boxes containing multiple jars of beef gravy granules on a supermarket shelf. The granules are grey, giving the jars the appearance of transparent mini-urns at a crematorium. Yuk.
