This makes them appealing to both casual fans and hardcore collectors. - Variety: There are literally thousands of different Funko POP figures, representing characters from nearly every corner of pop culture. Whether you're into Marvel superheroes, Disney characters, or anime, there’s a POP! figure for you. - Nostalgia: Many Funko POPs are based on classic characters and franchises from childhood, like Star Wars, The Simpsons, and Harry Potter, giving collectors a sense of nostalgia and emotional connection to their collection. - Community and Events: The Funko community is vibrant and passionate. Collectors often meet at conventions, participate in social media groups, and trade or display their figures in creative ways. - Rarity and Exclusives: The limited edition figures and convention exclusives are a major draw for collectors. Some rare POPs can fetch hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars, making the thrill of hunting them down a key part of the experience. I just finished reading Fans First by Jesse Cole. Here are five things I've learned... 1 - Fans First, Always: Remember your why, and if it isn't for your "fans," why are you doing it? By prioritizing fans' experiences, you create lifetime fans rather than "customers." 2 - Create an Unforgettable Experience: Whenever and wherever possible, create unique and memorable experiences that exceed standard expectations. 3 - Breaking the Rules: Evaluate why you have specific rules in place, and if they don't benefit the fan, toss them out 🗑️. 4 - Data and Feedback: Don't collect data and feedback if you don't use them. Use data and feedback to understand what fans love about your work and what they hate about it. 5 - Empower the Team: A happy team leads to happy fans. Treat your team well, empower them to make decisions, and create a fun and supportive work environment. Now I just have to make my way to a Savannah Bananas game.

🌟 Stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing change! 🚀 At 45, filming my very first video, or even taking a selfie to be posted on social media like LinkedIn, was and still is incredibly awkward. Change is uncomfortable, and the inertia to overcome it was immense. I procrastinated for weeks, coming up with many excuses. But, with the 'demanding encouragement' of my amazing team at Advo Education, I pushed through to create a 1-minute introduction to our company, which focuses on Results Transformation for students. I'll admit, I felt self-conscious and unnatural in front of the camera, repeating phrases more than 10 times to get it right! But, despite the discomfort and even fear, I'm glad I took the leap. Why? Because growth lies on the other side of our comfort zones. I'm reminded of our core value at Advo: "Best Idea Wins." It's about embracing idea meritocracy over personal preference because the best ideas propel us forward. And this experience, however uncomfortable, is a testament to that.
