🚀 Excited to Share: I recently completed an intensive Product Management course at INSEAD and Hero Vired, and I couldn't be more thrilled about bridging Product Management, Engineering, and Design! In the dynamic landscape of tech and innovation, the synergy between Product Management, Engineering, and Design is undeniable. Here's why: 1️⃣ Strategic Vision meets Technical Expertise: Engineers bring a deep understanding of technical constraints and possibilities to the product development process. Pairing this with Product Management principles allows for the alignment of strategic vision with technical execution. 2️⃣ User-Centric Approach: Design instills a passion for understanding user needs and crafting solutions that resonate on a human level. This user-centric mindset is at the core of effective Product Management, ensuring that products not only function flawlessly but also delight users. 3️⃣ Collaborative Innovation: Successful products are born from collaboration. By bringing together diverse perspectives from Engineering, Design, and Product Management, an environment where creativity thrives, leading to innovative solutions that push boundaries is formed. 4️⃣ Iterative Problem-Solving: Engineering teaches us to approach problems systematically, while Design encourages us to iterate and refine. Product Management acts as the orchestrator, guiding the iterative process towards delivering valuable solutions efficiently. 🌟 At the intersection of Product Management, Engineering, and Design lies the opportunity to create impactful products that not only solve problems but also elevate user experiences. I'm eager to leverage my diverse background and newly acquired skills to drive innovation and make a difference. 🙏 To the incredible faculty at INSEAD and Hero Vired, whose guidance was pivotal. Noah Askin,Manuel Sosa, Amitava Chattopadhyay, Aasheesh Watts, Premanku Chakraborty. Special thanks to my cohort members: Prathamesh Joshi, Siddhartha Kulkarni, Dhruv Gupta, Prateek Agarwal #ProductManagement #Engineering #Design #INSEAD #Innovation

🎓 School of Engineering: Stanford Online- Product Management Program Certification completed ✅ 💡 Despite not being a novel discipline, product management has been around since the 1930s when it was established under the term 'Brand Men' at P&G, it has only recently been recognized, adopted and taught at leading schools as a framework for launching successful startups and products. 🛣 From defining the problem space and articulating the opportunity to design thinking, validating hypotheses through user and market research, and launching and iterating on the roadmap, this program offers comprehensive exposure to these concepts. It includes real-world examples, hands-on exercises, and a wealth of readings and lectures to enhance your skills. 🚀 The program also broadens the focus from product management to product leadership, highlighting the importance of owning and managing a portfolio of products and themes that align with your company's vision, mission, strategy, OKRs, and metrics. Whether your responsibility is the next feature in the backlog or launching a groundbreaking product or startup like Google, the foundations of good product management remain the same. In addition, this program provides you with a recipe and toolkit for success with deep dives on Product Costing, Product Marketing, Demand Generation and Growth Hacking. 🏆 Embarking on this journey with the Stanford Online Product Management Certification provided me with access to world-class case studies, content, resources, and tools. This experience has solidified my understanding and best practices for successful product management planning, execution, and delivery. 🎯 I am grateful for this experience. Whether you choose the same route or another, never stop learning, challenging yourself, or aiming higher for your career and personal growth and development! Key learning’s from week 6 of the product management fellowship program by #growjunction. 1. Product Roadmap and Execution: A product roadmap is a statement of intent. A high-level plan that outlines the vision, direction, priorities, and progress of a product over time. It helps align teams around a shared vision and sets expectations for delivery. 2. Goals: • Product strategy and vision • Provide a guidance document and execution document • Get your stakeholder in alignment • Facilitate discussion and senerio planning. • Communicate with external stakeholders including customers. These goals are typically SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) 3. Product Cannibalization: Product cannibalization occurs when a new product or feature negatively impacts the sales or success of an existing product within the same company. While it may seem harmful, it can sometimes be a strategic decision to outcompete oneself before competitors do or to transition customers to newer, more innovative offerings. 4. Types of Roadmaps: • No date timeline – initial stage • Hybrid- as product matures • Timeline – when working in a cross functional setup. 5. Understanding prioritization: Prioritization is the process of deciding which tasks, features, or goals to focus on first. Popular frameworks for prioritization include: • MVP (Minimum Viable Product): Prioritize the smallest version of the product that delivers value. • MoSCoW Method: Must-have, Should-have, Could-have, Won’t-have. • RICE Scoring: Impact, Reach, Confidence, and Effort. Prioritization should balance business goals, customer needs, technical feasibility, and resource availability. 6. Design Thinking: Design thinking is a human-centered approach to problem-solving that encourages innovation by understanding users’ needs and creating solutions that are both desirable and feasible. It typically follows these five steps: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. This methodology fosters creativity and continuous iteration to build products that truly meet user expectations. Thanks #subhamBose for a wonderful session

🌲 Stanford's Winter Quarter '25 is officially open for enrollment! 🚀🎉 📚Cohort #27 of my 10-week course, "BUS-62W: Fundamentals of Product Management 2.0" will run from Tue Jan 14, 2025 - Tue Mar 18, 2025 via Zoom. This course has been going for 7 years, but recently has been completely revamped! 🤯 While I am biased, I have lots of feedback that compared to other product management courses out there, this has the *best* bang for your buck. 🎯 This hands-on course will cover the core skills needed during the entire product management lifecycle. We will learn how to generate ideas; validate opportunities with market research and customer interviews; and craft an effective vision, strategy, and roadmap. Students will also learn how to identify potential user segments, discover and prioritize their needs, design effective product solutions and iteratively get to product/market fit. We will also focus on how to define and analyze the right metrics for our products, explore prioritization frameworks, roadmap examples, and strategies to drive stakeholder alignment around them. Agile product management will also be par for the course. 🧑🎓🧑🎓Students will actively participate throughout the course and gain hands-on experience with quizzes, assigned readings, supplemental resources, and work in groups on an intensive, hands-on project in 0-to-1 product design to drive the learning home. 📖 There will also be a significant number of optional weekly resources to support our learning. If you're curious about product management or just looking to deepen your understanding of many of the topics, this could be the course for you! 🏆 📢 Registrations are open but will be closing soon.
