Consultants, Advisors, Trainers, Coaches, Facilitators - we are all in the business of delivering knowledge - but - is their a format of delivery that is better than others? ✴ At this point in the river, I'd suggest, "no! not better, so much as different pending what feels more aligned with your style." - For example, I'm a hybrid of these two business models here. But I didn't know that, nor was I able to really leverage that, until I sat down and teased it out. ✴ Coaching + Workshops are an excellent area to have some fun in, and... I reckon Programs, Consulting, Advisory, and Training (PCAT) - leveraging tech like E-Learning, Apps, Dashboards, Online Courses - are a natural evolution. Anyway... ✴ As it goes, these 2 business models feel quite obvious now that I've taken pen to paper, only it wasn't at all clear to me before I started. So, I figured I'd share the summary here, in case it can helps you tease out whatever it is you're creating next. Understanding its value is one thing; deciphering where to begin is another. As companies embark on this path, the pivotal question isn't just about starting—it's about 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁. 🔎 The cornerstone of any successful eLearning initiative is conducting a thorough 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀. This process is not merely procedural but the heartbeat of: ✅ validating your project's justification ✅ crystallizing expectations ✅ and pinpointing your audience's current performance level At the heart of this exploration are three essential questions: ▶️ What activities are your audience (employees/customers/partners) engaged in presently? ▶️ What outcomes do you envision for them? ▶️ What's stopping them from achieving these outcomes? In my experience, the hurdles preventing optimal performance fall into one (or a combination) of four categories: ⛔️ Insufficient Knowledge ⛔️ Undeveloped Skills ⛔️ Lacking Motivation ⛔️ or Not Enough Resources in their Work Environment Addressing these challenges requires a nuanced approach, especially when establishing 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿, 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, and 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀. The eLearning initiative must be carefully crafted to bridge knowledge gaps, build skills, inspire motivation, and supply necessary resources effectively. 📈💡 🎯 When setting eLearning goals, align them with overarching business priorities such as 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝘀𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵, or 𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Your eLearning strategy should be flexible and varied to meet industry demands while focusing on enhancing performance and achieving business results. ✨We are happy to share with you that we have just completed the evaluation of the 1st edition of our train-the-trainer program: "Learn How to Train" 🎓. This project was particularly close to our hearts at AIM. For 3 months, it was a privilege to pass on AIM's profession and ethics. To realize how much training is part of our organizational IKIGAI , and how the whole team was able to mobilize around this training course . The success is especially here: the evaluations are extremely positive 👍. They confirm our continuation into a second edition 2024-2025 🚀 📅. Like any experience, we have learned 🧠 from the feedback of the first batch of trained participants and the trainers who joined the adventure. Here are the 3 changes we are announcing for this second edition: - Extended learning module 📚: We are now offering blended learning modalities - three three-day modules - two in-person and one online - in addition to a Digital Learning HUB, Shadowing, Mentoring, and Peer training 🎉. - Strengthened practical approach: We are making this course even more practical. More exercises, more role-playing, more training sessions designed by participants to be evaluated and to evolve 📈. - Marketing approaches for trainers: We are now also supporting the marketing dimension of the trainer profession.
