Need a bigger table, whilst you have two member organisations in the room, but only large US companies, will you invite actual British Small to Medium Enterprises in the room, as we employ 66% of the private workforce, and as you say, our technology is vital not only to the health and wellbeing of British people, but the the wealth and wellbeing of our country! Our tech sector, the third largest globally and leader in Europe, is vital for our economy and public services like the NHS. We must support the tech industry and have an open dialogue with companies to continue using the power of technology and AI to improve lives across the UK. Peter Kyle and Rt Hon Rachel Reeves joined leaders from Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, techUK, DigitalBridge, Startup Coalition, NVIDIA, @Wayve, A16Z, Index Ventures, Meta and Google at a roundtable where they discussed how to make the UK a leading destination for tech investment, improving access to capital and using tech to drive economic growth.

Looks like the big tech lobby has got to the new government already. Shane Tickell very well made point. Sadly this is true of the overwhelming majority of our politicians. All for image and no substance, largely because the majority of them (and the Civil Service) have no business experience. They are obsessed with "big business" when as you say the majority of the wealth creation is done by "us lot" the SME's
