Customer Is Queen In Fashion Stakeholders in the fashion industry are tackling critical topics such as waste, transparency, accountability, impact, and the integration of AI. Discussions are centered around enhancing consumer support for sustainable fashion, breaking the cycle of overproduction and overconsumption, transforming fast-fashion business models, and utilizing artificial intelligence to minimize environmental impact. Questions also focus on assessing manufacturers' responsibility for their products' lifecycle footprint. Key to this dialogue is greater customer engagement, involvement, and integration in the design, collaboration, and storytelling of garments. Empowering customers to experience the joy of the creative process and envision collective solutions is crucial in driving sustainable practices in the industry. #FashionIndustry #Sustainability #AI #EnvironmentalImpact #Accountability Photo: Taken from a building wall in London

Such an important statement, Shamini Dhana, GCB.D, CCB.D: "Empowering customers to experience the joy of the creative process and envision collective solutions is crucial in driving sustainable practices in the industry." Without change at the customer level, the world could remain trapped in a downward spiral of overproduction and overconsumption. It's amazing how much visual richness remains untapped in many people's existing wardrobes. As a stylist, I relish the opportunity to help customers rework their wardrobes without buying anything new, or buying very little.
