Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana) ❇️ Cobra Pose, also known as Bhujangasana, is one of the foundational yoga poses, beneficial for back pain and overall well-being. Falling under the category of backbends, it involves arching the spine backward, aiding in spinal extension and countering the effects of prolonged forward motion, common in our daily activities. Cobra Pose is easily accessible and suitable for practitioners of all levels and yoga styles. 🟢 Benefits 🔹Helps alleviate back pain and stiffness 🔹Strengthens and tones the back, shoulders, and arms 🔹Improves posture and spinal flexibility 🔹Stimulates abdominal organs and aids digestion 🔹Enhances lung function and blood circulation 🔹Reduces stress, fatigue, and symptoms of depression 🔹Tones the gluteal muscles and firms the buttocks 🔹Helps manage menstrual pain and irregularities 🔹Can relieve symptoms of respiratory disorders like asthma 🔹Assists in weight loss by boosting metabolism 🔴 Precautions 🔺Pregnant women and individuals with ulcers, heart problems, or recent surgeries (spine, brain, lungs) should avoid this pose. 🔺Avoid practicing during menstruation if uncomfortable. 🔺Practice under expert guidance, especially if you have underlying health conditions. 🔺Avoid excessive pressure on the lower back. 🔺Keep the buttocks relaxed during the posture. 🔺Maintain a slight outward angle with your elbows, rather than keeping the arms straight. 🔺Seek expert advice if you experience discomfort, particularly in the lower back. 🔺Beginners should focus on building strength in the upper back and avoid overexertion. #yoga #fitness #meditation #healthyeating #yogapractice #yogainspiration #love #yogalife #mindfulness #yogalove #yogaeveryday #motivation #namaste #health #wellness #yogaeverywhere #nature #healthylifestyle #fitnessmotivation #healing #fit #peace #selflove #selfcare #life #asana #yogajourney #lifestyle #spiritual #inspiration #yogadaily #linkedingrowth #virtualassistant #freelancer #passion #discipline Anytime Fitness India AnytimeFitness

This Spinal Health Week, we encourage people to become more aware of their posture and to take regular exercise to prevent health problems later in life. In collaboration with Shannon London, a Bodywork Therapist and Yoga Teacher, we recorded 4 yoga sequences that we can use to ensure we improve our spine health. Today's sequence is all about Promoting Blood Flow & Hormonal Balance - These exercises are particularly for supporting menstruation issues, promoting blood flow and hormonal balance. These shapes can be used also to release tension in the lower back and promote stability. #spinalhealth week #hpgconnect #healthcare #spinalhealthweek

The seated front fold takes both flexibility, and relief from tension in major rear muscles, to the next level. When your hands reach your feet and gently pull, it advances the stretch and connection between the upper and lower extremities, transmitting the force of the stretch to the spine. This makes the front fold an ideal stretch for those experiencing back pain and are seeking to find relief both before and after a massage therapy session. Proponents of yoga have claimed that this pose not only brings maximal stretch benefits. but can also have particularly relaxing effects on the body that can aid in sleep. For this reason, this stretch is often practiced right before bed, as it also requires that you focus intently on the sensations your body is feeling, your breathing, etc. - inducing relaxation and ensuring that you’re taking a wholistic (that is addressing both the body and mind) approach to health. 🧎🏽➡️Pain doesn’t always mean there is tissue damage. 🧎🏿Active treatments like yoga and meditation are far better than passive treatments like long term use of pain medications. 🧎🏻♂️➡️Our negative moods and negative states like #anxiety and #depression may give rise to increased perceived pain. 🧎🏼♀️Yogis have this amazing ability to dial down #pain (perhaps switching of noxious pain signals observed in the thalamus). 🧎🏼♂️➡️The pain tolerance of #yoga practitioners is double that of non-yoga practitioners (grey matter insular volume increases) Join us for the #research beautifully integrated into experiential practice on Friday. Join me this morning, 10:00am online or in studio at Crofton Yoga for Gentle Yoga for Strong Bones!🧘🙏 According to the National Council on Aging, falling is the leading cause of fatal and nonfatal injuries among older adults. The most common locations for these fractures are the hip, pelvis, ankle, wrist, and upper arm bone near the shoulder. 🦴⚡ Did you know the risk of a hip fracture is equal to the combined risk of breast, uterine, and ovarian cancer? And it’s not just women who are at risk! Men over 50 are more likely to have a hip fracture than prostate cancer. ⚠️ Yoga poses stress bones in a helpful way, leading to increased bone mass and density with regular practice. Yoga without proper alignment, though, can be harmful for people with osteoporosis! A skillful teacher (like ones from PRANAKRIYA SCHOOL OF YOGA HEALING ARTS! 😉) can support students to do poses in a way that builds strength and reduces risk of injury. 💪 My class will focus on light, flowing movements while allowing time to expand, hold and enjoy each pose. You will strongly engage your muscles and build strength in a gentle way to encourage the bones to improve their density. This class is suitable for all levels to build strength and balance. 🌟 If you wanna sweat, I'll make ya sweat! 🥵 And if you wanna just lay there, you can do that too 😌 https://lnkd.in/e7VpwQCH #sapperspirit #pranakriyayoga #thesloweryougothemoreyouknow #becomemorefullyalive #yoga #yogaforstrongbones #osteoporosis #osteopenia
