One of the problems is that climate Cops are not well-suited to discussions on finance. Countries send their environment ministers and teams, rather than their finance ministries. Cops have no jurisdiction over institutions such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, which will be key in delivering publicly funded climate finance. Ways must be found to draw national finance ministers and international institutions more closely to the climate talks before it is too late. https://lnkd.in/deFxuZGC
Yes, it has its own importance, but now the time to gather all communities under United nations umbrella. Special resolution must be passed in favor of emergency climate. All the developed country paly their part to strengthen the capacity of developing or underdeveloped countries.
There is a council of Finance ministers also but i agree with you that much more efforts are needed to mobilize more financial resources as needs are much larger than existing allocation.

5moshabnam baloch thank you for highlighting this important aspect and sharing your thoughts. I was there at #SB60 and in my experience we need to support the Government for preparing and presenting a strong case for Pakistan and position ourselves at such global platforms to raise/ amplify the voices and engagement of relevant Government officials in the negotiations Furthermore, we need to mobilise the masses within the country to create a momentum through #CollectiveActions and go for the regional approach as well to build the case of #RegionalStability and strengthen the evidence-based argument(s) with the decision makers
