#GoogleNEXT was a blast! Intensive week in Vegas with lots of impressions: - #ESG matters: Google leads with its commitment to sustainability, diversity and inclusiveness. You could see it everywhere in the small details of the conference: CO2 building block demo, diverse agena, inclusion spaces and related sessions and events. - #Europe: We might not have our own #hyperscaler but the presence of European - small and large - players with significant cloud progress (and even larger) ambitions was very visible. Was good to see our EPAM clients showcasing their achievements we helped to build. - #AImadereal: Plenty of cases where AI creates - measurable! - business value. From back- to front end, agents demonstrate how fast value chains are evolving, processes become magnitudes faster, or interactions get more human. Hard to find a session without AI :-) - #Partnersrule: Proud that EPAM Systems is a Google premier partner and - again - we got a #PartneroftheYear #award! Thanks to all of you who joined us at #GCPNext and see you again "next" year!

Meet the brilliant women at Avanade who shape AI's future. They believe diversity isn't just a buzzword; it's the key that will help us do what matters. Tripti Sethi, Avanade's North America Data & AI Lead, shares her perspective on why diversity matters in AI development: 1. Fairness and Accuracy: AI systems learn from data. Biased or homogeneous datasets can lead to unfair or inaccurate decisions. By incorporating diverse perspectives, we create more equitable and reliable AI models. 2. Bias Mitigation: A diverse team recognizes biases encoded into algorithms or datasets. The result? Fair treatment for all individuals, regardless of background. 3. Representativeness: Without varied perspectives, we risk creating solutions that cater only to certain groups. A diverse team ensures AI models consider the varied needs and experiences of user groups, fostering inclusivity. 4. Ethical Considerations: Inclusive teams ponder the ethical implications of AI. Privacy, fairness, accountability, and transparency are part of the conversation. 5. Trust and Acceptance: Trust in AI hinges on its development being fair and inclusive. Inclusive processes foster trust and acceptance among users. Know More: https://bit.ly/3RRNCC0 #AI #Inclusion #WomenInTech #IWD24 #AvanadeDoWhatMatters #WorkAtAvanade

I've had conversations with dozens of companies about their genAI adoption strategies, but Cisco's approach really stood out to me. Starting in November of last year, Cisco's People, Policy & Purpose Organization began gearing up for a hackathon aimed at cultivating large-scale genAI projects. This initiative encouraged widespread ideation across the board, culminating in 248 ideas, which employees voted on and narrowed down to six. Francine Katsoudas, EVP and chief people, policy, and purpose officer at Cisco, told us that there are similar hackathons happening across Cisco right now. "It's a beautiful change management model if you think about it, because you allow people to get in there and play." Two things stand out to me about this hackathon approach: 🙌 It gives employees some say in how AI is used in their function, which can build trust and assuage fears. 💡 It taps into a more diverse pool of knowledge and perspectives. Leadership alone wouldn’t have been able to come up with the 248 ideas that emerged from the ideation phase of the hackathon. Once you've gotten that flood of ideas, you can select which ones you want to pursue. (Or, like Cisco, you can have employees vote on them.) [Find the full article in the comments.] I'm keen to hear from you—what does genAI adoption look like at your company? What do you think about the hackathon approach? Feel free to share your insights or DM me! #AI #Innovation #EmployeeEngagement #Hackathon #FutureOfWork #ChangeManagement

I’ve always believed that tech is about improving lives and experiences. In order to do so, technology and creativity need to be guided by human needs, decisions, and principles. This is true of every business, but it’s even more relevant in those industries that have the potential to transform the world we live in. Our mission at Globant has always been responsive to our fundamental values. Those values have helped us to craft every innovation, implement every new technology, and take every step towards a better future. But times change, and cultures adapt. We still hold fast to the principles that got us here. At the same time, we’ve felt the need to expand the set of values that we stand for. We’re living through the AI revolution, and Globant’s culture has been a reflection of that for many years. We’ve seen the ways in which the entrepreneurial spirit has changed the world in the last decades, and we have first-hand knowledge of the power of integration and bridge-building among individuals and teams with different kinds of experiences. We now have a renewed sense of purpose. By staying true to these principles, we are not just responding to changes; we are actively shaping a future where technology amplifies human potential, fosters global connections, and creates impactful solutions.
