It was a pleasure to welcome Mrs. Kalpana T. Reddy, President of HP Shakti Ladies Club and Meenal Datwal ( Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited ), at Sewa Niketan ashram. Her kind donation of wheelchairs will greatly improve the daily lives of our residents, giving them enhanced mobility and comfort. They also donated diapers packets, catheter for wheelchair users and some snacks also. Mrs. Reddy showed deep compassion by visiting our ashram, interacting with residents, and learning about our initiatives. We sincerely appreciate your support and hope to continue this partnership to bring more hope and care to those in need. Thank you, HP Shakti Ladies Club, for your generosity and compassion! #wheelchairusers #wheelchairlife #trending #socialimpact #dogood

Tata’s way…. A beautiful explanation on how charity is different from social wealth. From the book “The Tata’s: How a family built a business and a nation” John D. Rockefeller, Henry Ford, Andrew Carnegie, Waren Buffet and Bill Gates made a fortune beyond our imagination and they set aside large parts of their wealth for philanthropy. The world is grateful to them. But the difference between them and the Tata’s is that the individuals are known in the world over for their generousity and not for creating SOCIAL WEALTH. They didn’t use their enterprising ability to create social wealth. They first did what they wanted to do and then used the money so generated for charitable purposes. Charity is different from creating social wealth. Each business or enterprise in the Tata Group was setup to fulfil the needs of society- be it steel manufacturing, chemicals, engineering, passenger cars, TIFR, IISc or the cancer hospital. They recognised a gap in a society and their enterprising ability is then put to use to that end. This, creating wealth and solving social problems happen in tandem and profits are a secondary outcome. #thetataculture #RatanTata #JRD #JRDTata #SocialWealth #nusserwanjitata #inspiringstories

Investing in primary education, especially for underprivileged children, is a cornerstone for societal development. It breaks the cycle of poverty, enhances human capital, and fosters a more equitable society. By providing a conducive learning environment, we equip these children with the tools to become productive citizens and contribute meaningfully to the nation's growth. This initiative aligns with the broader goal of achieving universal education and reducing disparities in access to quality education. Imagine the power of ₹500! It can build 1 sq ft of a protective shelter for these young minds. Let's heed Gandhi's words: "If you want to change the world; start with children." Together, we can create a space where these dreams can soar. I hve contributed my part. Will you join in making a difference? Better India is a trusted platform. Your support will make a tangible difference. Lets build more than just a roof ; let's build aspirations. #education #India #socialimpact #hope
Sen is just one of the 300+ kids that study at this free primary school in the Jansa village of Varanasi. They are fed, cared for, and taught important life skills. All thanks to one man's efforts. Shyam Shrivastav is a cancer survivor who is dedicated to making these children's dreams come true. But the school faces a major challenge: the lack of a proper roof. Due to this, classes keep getting cancelled when the weather is unfavourable. You can make a world of difference by donating Rs 500 for a 1 sq ft roof. #DonateARoof now: https://buff.ly/3L5qtsP #SupportEducation #DonateForACause #BuildAFuture #TheBetterIndia [ Support Education, Donate For A Cause, The Better India, Help Children, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh ]

My First Initiative "SPARSH SETU" Sparsh Setu means Bridge of Doner & Donne We collect all types of old but good condition materials like Home / Office/Shops Furniture, Electronics and Electrical things, Construction materials, Clothes, Utensils, Stationery, Books, Groceries Toys and Vehicles from your homes. Sometimes we buy things that we don't end up using much. You put a lot of effort into buying these things. These items are not being used anymore but can still be useful to others in need. It's a good idea to donate those things to people who really need them. You can help make a difference in someone's life by giving away those unused things. "Sparsh" means "touch" in Hindi. When you donate your items, they will be touched means used by someone who really needs them. This fulfils their needs and gives them a sense of satisfaction. At the same time, you also feel satisfied knowing that your donation made a positive impact. It's a beautiful way to connect and help others.

All my Australian connections who have or do menstruate; can you help Share the Dignity and complete their Bloody Big Survey? This vital project evaluates the physical, social and financial impacts of menstruation, and uses the data to advocate for change. I was staggered to learn last year that one in five Australians who menstruate have been unable to afford #period products at some stage in their lives, and an average of 20x tampons are used per cycle. That’s a huge weight for an individual; every month, for much of their lives. #periodpoverty is real, and Share The Dignity is tackling it head on! If you can, please complete, and then like, share and encourage others to do so! #endperiodpoverty
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! On Thursday we were in tears worried about how we were going to get more survey respondents and WOW this incredible community really rallied behind us and shared the survey far and wide. Thanks to everyone's incredible support we are now HALFWAY to our goal of 200,000. Not only does this mean that we are closer to getting the data we need to advocate for change but we will also receive 100,000 period products donated by Kimberly-Clark (U By Kotex) on your behalf to help us support those experiencing period poverty right now. We are just blown away by the support and so grateful. Thank you to U By Kotex for generously donating 100,000 period products and to YOU our incredible community for taking the survey, interacting with our posts and sharing it far and wide. We still need your help to crack 200,000 so let's do this, please keep the suggestions coming, keep engaging and keep helping us spread the word. You will still see our Founder Rochelle Courtenay wearing her pad dress every day until we get there 💪🩸 Take the survey and help us advocate for menstrual equity - https://lnkd.in/gpmT6kyB
