Automation is great - until it’s not. I thought automating my entire cold email follow-up sequences would save me time and just make things more efficient in general. Instead, it backfired. Here is what happened: I connected *multiple* tools, scheduled sequences, implemented auto-replies, and let the system run on autopilot. But pretty quickly, I noticed that things weren’t going as smoothly as I hoped they would. The emails became too robotic, responses dropped. And yes, it's crazy how personalization at scale is possible these days - but I used it personalization just for the sake of personalization. With no extra value added to it. No matter how many cold emails you send: Never remove the human touch. Automation can handle the heavy lifting, yes, but it can’t (yet) replace genuine connection.
