Recently, Yifat, Shiri Bibas' cousin, delivered a powerful plea on television. Her voice conveyed the growing desperation felt by families of the abducted, who fear their loved ones are being forgotten. As an Israeli, who chose to live in New York, I feel the weight of their hope now rests on our shoulders. Last night, I attended an event where 500 drones illuminated the New York sky with a message that echoed in our hearts: Bring them home NOW! The resilience of the speakers, especially Moran Stella Yanai and the families who shared their stories, was truly inspiring. They are testaments to the enduring power of the human spirit. This event happened thanks to the collective strength of collaboration of people I am proud to know - Sharon Eyny ,Ariel Margalith, Inbar Haham, Prof. Ori Rogowski, Ze'ev Yanay, Guy Franklin ,Tal Shuster, and everyone who made this event possible. @Julia Haart's words resonated deeply: "What if we are only talking to ourselves? What if the world isn't listening? What if we only have each other? So, I say, If we only have each other – we are enough! I know that we are going to bring the hostages home, because every person in this room is committed to doing so! If we unite, even if the entire world is against us, we can bring them home, because we united defeat hate”. We are enough. Together, we will be a beacon of hope that cannot be extinguished. The darkness may surround us, but it will not deter our fight. We will not rest until all of them are home. #BringThemHome #Solidarity #Hope #istandwithisrael BringThemHome

dragonflyapp.ai. won yesterday's 2024 Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom Sub-Saharan Africa's GreenPitch Challenge's pitch day hosted in partnership with GreenCape. Such a great pitch by Luke Osborne CA(SA) and Sean Kelly. Companies with material recovery services should consider chatting to the DragonFly team. They integrate small, relatively cheap, and quick to install, AI-powered cameras onto sorting lines to enable real-time analytics to optimise material picking efficiencies, notably at MRFs. This results in increased material recovery, increase material sales, reduced tailings and associated overheads, and more picking jobs to plug the efficiencies identified by the technology. This is also an important technology for companies providing material recovery services to municipal MRFs with strict MRF tailing requirements / thresholds.
The winners of the 2024 Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom Sub-Saharan Africa GreenPitch Challenge are ... First place: dragonflyapp.ai (powered by Anisoptera) Runner up: Aero Greens People's Pick: Silence SA They each win a share of a cash prize sponsored by RMB - Rand Merchant Bank Ventures. Congratulations to all the pitch teams, and thank you to the judges, sponsors and eco-system partners that attended. News release and video to follow.
