During the past two weeks, I had the opportunity to attend two advanced bioinformatic workshops (RNA-seq Analysis and Analysis Using R) in Toronto, which was held by Bioinformatics.ca through its annual workshop series. The focus of the workshops was on the common and latest approaches being used to analyze and interpret RNA-seq/biological data. The objective of my postdoc project is to determine a transcriptomic signature associated with resistance to infestation with sea lice in Atlantic salmon in collaboration with the Huntsman Marine Science Centre team.
