The FAA has issued an Airworthiness Directive for improperly manufactured tail rotor blades on certain Bell 429 helicopters after Transport Canada issued a similar directive as a result of a Service Bulletin issued by the manufacturer. While Transport Canada requires a visual inspection prior to each engine start, the FAA deemed it critical enough to require a visual inspection after every landing prior to the next takeoff making flights with multiple takeoffs and landings out of the question. This has the potential to significantly impact many operators. Is your organization affected by this compliance requirement? Have you submitted for an alternate method of compliance? Leave your thoughts below! https://lnkd.in/dMHdzJfa

📋 Key Steps in Aircraft Delivery Pre-Inspection Checklists 📋 A thorough pre-inspection checklist is essential to ensure that an aircraft meets all standards before delivery. Here are some critical steps to include: 1. Exterior Inspection: A detailed examination of the aircraft’s exterior, including the fuselage, wings, and landing gear, helps identify any visible damage or issues. 2. Interior and Cabin Check: Inspecting cabin interiors, including seating, lighting, and emergency equipment, ensures that the interior is in top condition and meets airline specifications. 3. System Function Tests: Checking all avionics, communication, and navigation systems verifies that they function correctly and meet regulatory standards. 4. Engine and Powerplant Inspection: Comprehensive inspections of the engines and powerplants confirm that they are operating within performance standards and have been properly maintained. 5. Documentation Review: Verifying that all necessary documentation, such as maintenance logs, certification records, and compliance documents, is complete and accurate. Following these pre-inspection steps ensures a successful and compliant aircraft delivery. #AircraftDelivery #InspectionChecklist #Aviation
