When Shadows Inspire: A Letter to Fellow Artists Dearest Creative Soul, I'm writing to you from my favorite coffee shop corner, watching the December light paint shadows across my notebook. Maybe you're in your studio right now, or perhaps you're curled up in your creative space, seeking inspiration in the quiet moments between projects. Lately, I've been thinking about how we creatives often dance with darkness – those moments when our inner critics get loud, when pricing our work feels impossible, or when we wonder if we're "real" enough artists to charge what we're worth. But here's the thing about shadows: artists know they're essential for depth. In this month's letter, I'm sharing a gentle shift in perspective that's transformed my own creative practice – moving from the structured demands of gratitude lists to the flowing ease of appreciation. Think of it like switching from rigid geometric patterns to organic, intuitive mark-making. I'm opening my sketchbook to share: - Why traditional gratitude can sometimes feel like another "should" in your already-full creative life - How appreciation can be as natural as your creative process (and just as powerful) - The surprising way this practice has helped me price my work and attract aligned clients - A fresh perspective on embracing winter's natural fallow period in your creative business For those ready to transform their relationship with money before the new year, I've created something special. My "How to Slay Your MONEY MONSTERS" course is now available – eight soul-nourishing audio sessions you can absorb while painting, designing, or during your creative practice. Think of it as a gentle companion for your money journey, one that honors your artistic spirit while building your business foundations. What's sparking inspiration for you right now? Post below and share your current muse – I'm collecting creative sparks to light up these winter nights. Creating alongside you, Rhianna P.S. Just as every artwork has its perfect moment, the early-access pricing for "How to Slay Your MONEY MONSTERS" is entering its final phase. Gift your creative practice the support it deserves and step into 2025 with renewed financial confidence. Memory Lane Do you ever get reminders from your phone or computer to look back at old photos? Or you could pull out an old album and flip through pictures from years gone by. What a wonderful surprise they can be! Those memories transport us back to times we sometimes forget, revealing moments that once brought us joy and connection. Looking at those old photographs of ourselves, our children, family, and friends can be like taking a beautiful trip down memory lane. Whether it's a dusty photo album, digital pictures on your phone, or a memory jar filled with little notes, these keepsakes flood emotions. Without them, many memories would slip away, lost to time. Think about the old black-and-white photos of loved ones or even old slides that show moments with people who've been gone for decades. They're far too important to forget, aren't they? These pictures tell stories that could fade if we don't try to preserve them. Cherished memories serve as a mirror, reflecting who we are, where we've been, and what truly matters. They tether us to the past and illuminate the path to our future. Preserving memories isn't just about holding onto things—it's about keeping the feelings alive. Whether it's the love shared across generations, the laughter around a dinner table, or a quiet walk under a favorite tree, these moments shape who we are. And sometimes, a simple photo can tell an entire story without using a single word. That's why I believe in building memories every day. The little moments I take for granted will be priceless treasures in the days and years ahead. I cherish my moments now and find a way to preserve them through photos, letters, or storytelling. Years from now, I'll find that the memories I've kept aren't just pieces of the past. They're living, breathing parts of my heart, always reminding me of life's most precious moments. How about you? Are you intentionally building memories? Watch for the blind spots. Get your copy of Blind Spots in Relationships on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, BAM (Books a Million) and learn more about how to identify yours today. Jerry knows life’s struggles. He knows life’s difficulties. He knows how to create successes and is eager to participate in your life.

"Something beautiful breaks; the making of it still matters." This phrase resonates deeply with me, bringing up images of delicate glass figurines that shatter to the ground. Yet, as I reflect further, my thoughts shift toward the intangible yet invaluable treasures in my life—the items infused with love and care. My most cherished possessions are not merely things; they are creations born from time spent together or thoughtful gestures made by family and friends. When a handmade bracelet from my daughters, a lovingly drawn picture, or a dried flower by my nieces and nephews falls apart or wears down, it tugs at my heartstrings. I can't seem to part with the fragments of those tokens because they symbolize moments filled with joy and connection. Even bits of broken jewelry remind me of laughter shared while crafting them, the sweet innocence behind every doodle on a scrap of paper, or those encouraging sticky notes left strategically on my desk. And as for my whiteboard? Each erased message represents ideas shared and lessons learned; I take snapshots before wiping them clean because those transient thoughts mattered in that moment. While we may not always offer tangible gifts to our patients, our actions create indelible memories—impressions that linger long after they leave our care. It's these meaningful moments that truly define our impact—it’s what happens here that shapes their stories moving forward and stays etched in their hearts forever, and that, my friends, is People-Centered Care.

Reminder: there is no right or wrong way to do finances. It's your path, your journey, your "dance" with the finances - it will have dips & lifts. And those dips & lifts make for the most glorious dances, don't you think? Some of you may think, "I don't have the skill to dance (or to manage my money). I'll go to a dance teacher (or to an accountant/advisor)." And what does every good dance teacher say? "Dance is in the soul; it's an expression of your soul. I can teach you the movements for a particular type of dance. But a robotic recitation of the right motions is not dance. Knowing the steps to the waltz, if that is your preference, must be aligned with the unique expression of your soul coming to life in those movements." Dancing with your finances is no different. You get to express your values, desires, and preferences in how you build monetary wealth. You get to experience what you don't prefer and still feel peaceful through it, and peaceful looking back on the experience. How you respond and navigate through the dips and lifts is your intuitive financial healing. You can heal any math, money or financial systems-based trauma. And, in honor of the holiday, I'll invest 50% of the program cost in YOUR financial healing. Will you? Please take advantage of the 50% OFF on or before July 10th. YES! I do believe in making RESOLUTIONS! I am a firm believer in making FIRM DECISIONS. To some, the ONLY day recognized for proper INTENTIONAL RESOLVE to schedule how they would live, move, and have their being throughout a given year is the month of January. I believe that a life changing and highly impactful RESOLUTION must not be a ONE-OFF thing especially, if you are hungry and thirsty for GLORY. The word GLORY here represents the successes, promotions, dreams, aspirations, goals and objectives you intend to accomplish in a given year. "EVERY DAY" is a new opportunity to become a better YOU!" Every day is a RARE PRIVILEGE to refocus your eyes on the set GOALS and OBJECTIVES. Make Everyday "COUNT!" Make that FIRM RESOLUTION NOW!" You can do this. YES! Take the FIRST STEP right NOW! Rise up and DO IT! Pick up your pen - Start writing down those ideas for the very first time. Develop your Business Plan. As for me, my every day RESOLUTION for 2024 is, "NO-DAYS-OFF!" Now, my No-Days-Off is centered on 4 RULES. I would like to share them with someone here. I don't mind at all, so long as it yields positive results in the end. These 4 rules of TRANSFORMATION are as follows: 1 ✓ No More Zero Days - This means that you are forbidden from not doing a single solitary thing towards whatever your dreams and aspirations are in this life. Even if it is ONE PUSH-UP, ONE SIT-UP, ONE PAGE of the book every day, Just make a CONSCIOUS DECISION that there will be No-More Zero-Days! When the day is over, you will reflect on your ACHIEVEMENT(S) for that particular day before MIDNIGHT. 2 ✓ Be Grateful For The 3 Yous - These include, ° The Past YOU ° The Present YOU ° The Future YOU Yes! Be grateful for YOU! Thank the Past You for the Positive Things you did. Thank the Present You for Making It thus far. Thank the Future YOU for the FAVOURS it will bring you. The decision to stay in SHAPE against all odds by eating healthy represents the Past You. The decision to KEEP GOING despite the thick FOG on your path represents the Present You. The decision to INTENTIONALLY save up towards actualizing that dream of yours, represents the Future You. 3 ✓ You MUST Forgive Yourself - You MUST decide to keep your "HEAD-UP at all times!" Being disappointed in yourself causes you to be LESS PRODUCTIVE. If you can forgive yourself, you will HEAL for the Past, EQUIP yourself for the Present and catch a better and clearer VISION for your Future. 4 ✓ Exercise & Books - When you exercise daily, you actually get smarter, exercise makes the road ahead Crystal Clear. It makes you position yourself to WIN the "WAR!" Through Exercise, you will test the limitations of your very SOUL! As for books, almost everything you ever wanted to do, know or become have been figured out by someone else. Therefore, get some MOTIVATIONAL and INSPIRATIONAL books and READ.Yes! Read books that would help you to understand and get a BIGGER PICTURE version of your future faster.

The Battle (to be at the forefront or behind) The miniature man in the palm tree laughs at this book with its own web design. To him, the never before fictional mix with a word play setting is merely a playground. With the skill to appear and reappear, as a saboteur, he claims the moniker F, to, in other words, personify day to day adjustments within the many spheres of influence. He knows only earnest eyes will spot the flaw in camouflage becoming a literary guacamole as letter six throws everything into a spin. When it is in, it is to be unseen. Take it out. No one notices. It is his perfect setup. However, his muse alters him from a disorganized version of the truth to a capital mess and gives him the name Farrago, then proceeds to organize everything to make music to the ears. She drops 'f' out of a 'few bites' to make a 'website', so this connoisseur of hindsight feasting on the past in a tree cannot fix the game. Pages of ideas fly for the taking, sparking a battle for control and only the sharpest can win if they see how to gain an advantage. Now in plain sight, the flaw in his camouflage, the obvious sixth letter 'f' is up for grabs. She recognizes he should be 'in use' to 'infuse' into her website and hangs him out among the many spheres for inclusivity, turning fiction into function. Thus, being more than literary guacamole, he is instrumental in her website - at last, creativity! 🙂 Regardless, the unpredictable variable carries on, laughing like still nobody will notice. Flufffy Hmm... Is it too late to make this right? Try. No, really. Erase the problem before it happened. Hindsight only sees the back end, though. Wait! Take note. The miniature man motivates rationality - huge. So aspire to win at the forefront. https://lnkd.in/gZE4u9aa https://lnkd.in/gvPSy2UC Get there through #problemsolving #career #education #communication #collaboration #productivity #timemanagement #growth #motivation #goals #life #lifeskills #research #development #visualart #art #entertainment #learning on #LinkedIn 3❤️

Have you ever felt the weight of who you “should” be? This idea of who we are supposed to become, moulded by the expectations of family, colleagues and society at large; it’s almost like wearing a heavy coat that doesn’t fit but that everyone insists we keep on. It took me a long time to realise that the process of becoming who I truly am would actually require the process of unbecoming everything I was told I should be 📢 Unbecoming doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a gradual unfolding, a shedding of what no longer resonates. For me, it started with tiny whispers that something wasn’t quite right. I was living life based on roles and labels, and though I seemed fulfilled on the outside, something inside me longed for more authenticity. In order to truly be, I had to let go of who I thought I was supposed to be 🦋 Here’s the beautiful part of unbecoming: once you let go of the need to be something for everyone else, you finally make space for who you are to shine. There’s a freedom in not having to perform, in simply being enough as you are. This is where your magic begins to emerge ✨️ Unbecoming allows me to rediscover parts of myself that I’d forgotten in the hustle to fit in. The part that loves spontaneous creativity, the part that cries freely, the part that trusts my own path rather than looking sideways for validation. These were the pieces of my own magic, and each piece I reclaimed felt like coming home to myself 🫂 The world doesn’t need more people playing roles or fitting moulds. It needs each of us in our truest, most authentic form; our quirks, our dreams, our unpolished edges. When you let go of who you think you must be, you create space for the gift of who you truly are to emerge. This gift, your own brand of magic, is precisely what others need and yearn to experience 🎊 Every time I dare to show up as myself, with my true thoughts and unfiltered self, I notice a ripple effect. Suddenly, others feel they can be themselves too. There’s a shared relief, a quiet knowing that we’re all more alike than we thought. By unbecoming, we give others permission to do the same; to peel back their own layers, to let go of expectations, to let their own inner magic emerge 🌱 Unbecoming is not an easy journey, but it’s one of the most worthwhile. It’s not about disregarding everything you’ve ever learnt; it’s about discerning what resonates with your soul and leaving the rest behind. Each step you take toward your truest self is a gift not only to yourself but to the world 🗺 Unbecoming is the art of letting go, embracing your inner light, and sharing it with a world that is better for having the real you in it 🕯
