About the CMX industry trends survey ending this TOMORROW.
I really REALLY want you to take (link below), but I have some critiques.
Let's start this by saying this is NOT sponsored by CMX
I'm generally pretty reticent to share a lot of my feedback and feelings about CMX of late. But I pride myself on being transparent, and vocal.
So in that spirit, I am both excited and nervous to share my latest video:
First, get good. Then get better: how to fix the CMX community industry report (and all reports).
Watch the full video here: Get Good, Then Get Better: How to Fix CMX's (and all) Industry Surveys
You can watch it here!: https://lnkd.in/g-DAX8SN
In this video, I am diving deep into the CMX Community Industry Report and all of its problems, but what's more, my true aim is to provide constructive feedback that can lead to more accurate, insightful, and useful reports for all of us. It's not just CMX that I see this in. It's ALL industry reports. So I hope we can have that conversation.
I've identified great ways to improve the report by highlighting 4 major issues with the current surveys and offering 8 actionable solutions to fix them.
1. Taking a limitations focus to all surveys
2. Fixing 'other' responses
3. Being more open about citing sources and relying on other external 3rd party reports
4. Embracing radical bias
I'll leave the solutions for the video but, I WILL say, we can literally solve ALL of these problems with a single social-scientific formula!
Quick note: I'm aware this might ruffle some feathers, and I’m feeling a bit vulnerable putting this out there. This video has taken countless hours of research, analysis, and a lot of introspection, as well as some very gracious time from Beth who has taken all of this with incredible tact and poise. CMX has taken so much of my conversation in stride - they've been excited to have these discussions with me and that is an absolute gift.
I hope this video sparks some great conversation!
