As many of you know, Dave & I are passionate board members for Kids In The Middle (KITM) which supports families going through divorce. Today kicks off our 24 hour annual Giving 4 Kids campaign and we are asking for your support. KITM serves 2,000+ children and families through their counseling services. Today we are hoping to gain additional support for our programs. To learn more about KITM, visit the website: https://lnkd.in/gC8WQRKK. We are seeking your financial donation to provide much needed mental health services for children experiencing the trauma of divorce and separation. All donations are DOUBLED for the next 24 hours thanks to our matching donors! That means if you donate $5 it turns into $10, $100 turns into $200- you get it. No gift is too small and donations are tax-deductible. In Missouri, tax credits are 50% monetary back in the form of a MO state tax credit. This is an ALL or nothing campaign, which means that we must raise the full $100,000 by Thursday May 2 at 2pm CST. As a board, we also like to make this a challenge (of course 😊) so please indicate Team Teal when making a donation to indicate the team we represent. To make a donation: https://lnkd.in/g6ezkAcb We truly appreciate your support.
GIVING 4 KIDS is LIVE! All donations made in the next 24 hours will be DOUBLED. Your donation goes even further to help support children and families in the St. Louis community. Help us raise $100,000! Donate now! https://lnkd.in/gGPcjHeC

I have been working at Marrickville Legal Centre for 9 years and have never witnessed the type of demand for our services that we are experiencing now. Conditions are hard out there and they're becoming increasingly harder for those that are already struggling. We have an amazing group of staff and volunteers who go above and beyond to try to meet this need but sadly, like many community legal centres, we do not have the resources to help everyone. This isn't fair. People should be able to engage effectively with our justice system irrespective of their level of income. This is why we launched the Low Bono Legal Service (LBLS) in 2020. The LBLS service model offers affordable fixed-fee representation for those who cannot afford private lawyers but are ineligible to access free legal support. Since its inception, the LBLS has assisted 364 clients, recovering $3.4 million in entitlements. The fees generated through this service have enabled MLC to employ an additional lawyer, which means we can help more people. We are also working closely with Women's Legal Service QLD, the EDO and Microsoft Gold Partner, Barhead Solutions, to develop a new legal practice management system called Consensus for Purpose. Built on Microsoft’s Dynamics 365, Consensus for Purpose will streamline the entire client journey and reduce the administrative burden through automation and AI. This will free up our limited resources to focus on legal work and speed up the process for those needing help. These projects capture the innovative culture at MLC that is forever exploring new ways to help more people. We will never receive enough funds from government or donations to meet demand, which is why we need to be more creative in how to do more with less. This year we’re asking for donations to help advance these projects. Every dollar donated to MLC goes further, ensuring that more individuals receive the legal support they desperately need. Your tax-deductible donation will not only make a difference in the lives of those MLC serves but also helps drive the innovation needed to bridge the justice gap in Australia. We’ve had a very generous offer to match every donation up to the value of $10,000. All donations received through to 30 June will be matched dollar-for-dollar, so your impact will be doubled! Please consider donating to Marrickville Legal Centre today by heading to mlc.org.au/donate
Donate to MLC before 30 June and double your impact! All donations received throughout this week will be matched up to the value of $10,000, thanks to one generous anonymous donor. Your donation is tax-deductible and every cent will go directly towards providing legal assistance to the community. I’ve just got home from the board meeting of Widows and Widowers Ministering Angels. I’ve been appointed Chair of the Endowment Committee. Jennie Taylor is the Vice-Chair. If you would like to donate money to needy widows where just the interest on your donation is used annually, let me know. It doesn’t have to be a lot of money. At 5% a year, $5,000 can provide $250 per year each and every year going forward. $25,000 creates $1,250 per year. You can even commit to a yearly contribution until you get enough money endowed to help in the way you desire. Maybe it’s Christmas presents for kids or a trip for the family or rent or car repairs. But creating an endowment now means you can help someone every year in perpetuity. It’s as simple as messaging me on Linked-In to get the details. wwministeringangels.org
