About a year ago I made one content decision that has since saved me hours of wasted productivity. I no longer worry about how a post will perform. I've stopped trying to game the system, looking at trends or trending topics. Instead, I imagine I'm in an ongoing conversation with my ideal client. What do they need to hear from me or my colleagues to help them get through the day? Now, everything I create has the intent and purpose of being in conversation with my audience. Granted, it's often a one-sided conversation, but that's no different from when I created TV for decades. It's useful information that I find interesting and want to share with others. Operating from this lens allows me to create more content more frequently. And based on how this community keeps growing, I think you like it too.
