One of the best podcasts not only for cricketers young and old but also valuable lessons for everyday work and family life. One of my favourite podcasts that was recorded in 2021 speaks about why making mistakes is crucial to success. We can sometimes be our own worse enemies and set our expectations so high that when we don’t achieve this we stop trying and give up. I have learnt and try to pass this onto my junior cricketers that no one is ever going to be perfect in everything we do but if/ when we fail that is ok. Rather than looking at it as a failure take the time to look at what you learnt from the experience and how you can adapt from that failure to improve the next time you get the chance. Sport and life is always a learning experience.
