Does artificial intelligence put maritime jobs at risk? Eric Priante Martin explores this through the eyes of a few industry experts - including our Founder & CEO Bill Dobie - in a new piece from TradeWinds. Bill suspects there “[won’t] be any lack of work in the global supply chain in the next five to 10 years, no matter how much you automate”. Rather, maritime professionals will be able to focus on more urgent matters - the tasks which require human perspectives - rather than manual email filing for example. This is useful for teams who are trying to do more with less, like chartering teams who are trying to manually parse through information from emails and several other systems to make a fixture.
