Where is could say. “"Amidst the immense hype surrounding AI advancements, my recent experiences with GPT-4 have left me somewhat unsatisfied. The sky-high expectations set by society often overshadow the remarkable capabilities of existing Language Models (LMs). However, I remain optimistic about the future. With innovations like RAG 2.0 paving the way, I believe that within a year, LLMs will surpass current expectations and excel in meeting the evolving needs of today's dynamic landscape. The journey towards truly outstanding AI models is undoubtedly underway!"

Fantastic new article put out by the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) giving some history on language models and their future. After 15 years in the field, I've never seen something take off as fast and as far as Generative LLMs, so I'd interested to see where we go from here.

A step towards the world of AI

Next step in Basic Technology AI LLM Model exponential OOM progress. Interesting to see how/when growing Gap to Applied AI in business and society will start to be reversed by a tsunami of ubiquitous AI applications based on already existing technology.
