I love the KLC, for its ideas like this one. Leadership is an activity, not a position, and many times I see leadership that lets ego drive the conversation, or let the status quo remain, because they refuse to acknowledge the gap(s). I believe this to be a form of toxic leadership. Leaders understand that change must happen, they need to bring their teams along, and they must address underlying opportunities to improve, or else the organization will **not** actually be aligned with its own goals. Instead, you’ll get lip-service, distrust, and low-morale.
